There were always a lot of FPs in EPL, just most weren't used as part of the tower system.


And while I haven't raided as one or played a high level one yet, huntards are so easy mode out soloing now, and the pet changes are damn sweet.

Hunters have ALWAYS been easy to solo level. Beast Masters were especially easy. I can’t say Hunters are easier after the recent patch as I haven’t leveled my hunter in a long time. However with the changes form Mana to focus and not having any ammo needs I expect they are even easier to level now. I’ll soon find out huh?

The funny thing for me was finding out how much more work it was to raid with a Beast Master hunter then it was as a Marksman Hunter.

As a marksman I could pretty much ignore my pets DPS and focus on mashing a few buttons based on shot priority. With a Beast Master I MUST factor in all my pets abilities and special attacks in order to keep my raid DPS anywhere close to the other DPS in the raid. Now instead of using three or four shots in my priority listing I have to include three pet abilities in the priority list.

Keeping the pet alive for an entire fight becomes a lot more important as the pet is doing a large percentage of my damage. So when the raid leader calls for us to “run out” due to some boss AOE I need to make sure I bring the pet along. The pet dies I loose 2000 to 2500 DPS of my total.

ill be testing it tonight a bit more thoroughly, i was more interested in checking out all the new environment changes last night. my wrathful gladiator gear is 277 and i have 5 pieces of it.

You can see I’m not up on all the latest PvP gear, as a Hunter I’ve just never been any good at it though I’m told Hunters can be great in PvP.

Yeah I did the same thing last night and took a break from running heroics for my Druid in order to tour around the old zones and look at the changes. I actually only got one continent done.

My impression of Stormwind was that the changes made it easier to move around in. I haven’t done any looking around with my horde toons yet.

Unless Resilience is WAY out of whack after the patch. Then again I would expect we would hear a lot about that. But if it’s an issue with resilience you won’t be able to tell on the test dummies that are set up like PvE bosses. With that in mind though, if it was resilience related, then tests on the target dummy should jump off the charts in comparison.

Man I wish I could get 15,000 DPS on the test dummies with my hunter. 6000 to 7000 DPS on them is a great number for me. It’s a tough call though because my kill shot no longer works on the test dummies because they no longer loose enough health to activate the shot.

Don't expect to get anything over 5k dps in pvp unless it's pure aoe. Even if the other player is just standing there. My arcane Mage does about 8-9k on dummies but almost half of that in pvp . That's with me just standing there. The average % reduction with resilience is around 35-40%.

wat? LHC was the only flight path in EPL when the game was first released. Hunters have been easy mode since the game came out too.

The i251 loot portals are currently kept open all the times, but otherwise there really wasn't anything done to outland or nr.

Correct, they added and 2dn flight point at the bridge between EPL and WPL when i think wrath came out. but that's it

Lets answer the question first. I LIKE IT ! yeah it has had it’s bumps along the way but Blizzard appears to be working out the kinks. What they have released so far is very promising.

For me it’s been a great patch. I like the changed look of the old zones but feel sort of bad for anyone coming in now who will miss a lot of cool things. Loads of new things to see and do but more so if you are a low level toon. Nothing new for level 60 and above yet. Even after Cata 60 to 75ish will be the same old grind.

Latest patch re adjusted hunter shot damage up a bit though not a huge amount so I’m happy. They nerfed our Aspect of the Hawk but upped some of our shots damage, that’s going to be a big plus for any hunter who is asked to switch to nature protection for an encounter. Now dropping Hawk wont hurt the DPS as much. It will also help a lot when we get aspect of the fox. Overall this was a smart decision on Blizzards part IMO.

There are already new quests available, but they all top out at level 58 I would say. My only character that might be able to benefit from them is a 27 rogue and I haven’t done any of them. Level 80 content and new races.. obviously not in game yet so a lot to come.

My vote goes to the shaman/druid/priest. Gives you the most options as to DPS/heal/tank(druid). I love my druid, was my first 70, my latest 80. Insta flight is awesome, especially for mining/herb.

either doodad or priest. very beneficial to be a healer, they are always in demand so the queue times for randoms are very short if you go as a healer. plus the dual spec is only 100 gold now so you can change back and forth between healing/dps for priest and tank/healing/dps for doodad.

I'll probably just level my second Paladin a bit, although I doubt that it will be any less boring because leveling is leveling after all.

I think Druids may be the one class in game that gives you every option, from Tank to healer to DPS, Druids can do it all and they do it all well. A good point was made about random group queue time as a healing Druid as opposed to a DPS Druid

I thought about that. I like to think of a Druid as a fuzzy Paladin that uses the power of Nature as opposed to holy power.

Oh man that’s right I didn’t even think to ask that question though. I’ve actually done that once after a talent reset. I couldn’t figure out why in the heck I was doing such crud DPS.
