after i just sat down and leveled, i hit 82 in about 4 1/2 hours of play. it went by really quickly though, i loved leveling in hyjal. where do i go off to next?

Did heroic Deadmines last night. It is by far the hardest 5man I've done for an introductory heroic dungeon. But it'll probably be a breeze a few weeks from now.

yeah it seems mainly just hyjal that has a tendency to show up late. luckily for horde it's not that lon of a flight.

now with dal mostly empty the magic books be staying around a bit longer and got the last one last night for the pet.

also the expnsion is currently over, final available raid boss is now dead.

I'm completely finished with Hyjal, Deepholm, and Uldum now, and am 23% into level 84. Shouldn't be much longer now. Thankfully Uldum really picked up in the last quarter of quests though, starting with Schnottz.

Yeah, it was nice once the quests started moving quicker at the end, the cutscenes early on in the zone made questing very slow. I also thought it was a 74-75 area like the carbonite map shows, 3/4 of the quests were 73. I skipped Hyjal to speed things up a bit, as I don't have much time to play anymore, but I should have skipped uldum and gone straight to Twilight Highlands. It was slow and painful for me.

you will hit 85 in highlands very quickly. its pretty much what i did.

80-81 daily turn ins + 2 instance runs
81-82 more instance runs + first hub in both Hyjal and vashir
82-83 - Hyjal
83-84 - Deepholm
84-85 - Highlands

in the 84-85 stretch i did the first quest in Uldum just so i could go there later and not have to do it. also more instances. not the fastest but i wasn't going for speed.

gotta go and finish vashir and all of uldum for gold/rep

Did the entire Vash zone at the beginning and got the achievement, moved to Deepholm got that achievement and just starting Uldum (prob 30 quests in) and I'm half way through 84. How long does it take to get friendly with Hyjal so I can just get the tabard? I did the fly by of Rag and Deathwing there but that's it.

I hit 85 last night. I did Vash and Hyjal, then Deepholm, then Highlands. I got the achievements for Hjyal, Deepholm, and Highlands, but only have 134/150 in Vash. Gonna move on to Uldum tonight probably, or level my rogue (JCer).

I've not done any instances yet, just pure questing and a few hours of rested xp, so I don't feel like I'm doing too bad. I've never ran instances while leveling though, not really sure why. With Vanilla content, I only ran 2 or 3 instances early on before hitting 60. During BC content, I ran the Blood Furnace a couple of times early on and that was it all the way to 70. In WotLK, I leveled all the way to 80 while running Nexus only once early on.

My trend will continue since I'm almost 85, I'm just not going to bother right now. As soon as I hit 85, I'll most likely quit questing and start working on my professions. I guess I'm a single-track kind of guy, don't really get into multi-tasking too much. Once I can get to 85, my game will really begin.

I can't believe I got sucked back in so easily.

you might wanna revise that if you level an alt, you run BRC 3 times and you are 81 from 80. you get a huge ammnt of XP doing them now

I went to do BRC when I was 83...but the retard put th elevel range at something stupid like 80-81 so the regular version doesn't even show in my dungeon finder.

I think that's how I will level my alts too. I only did 2 instances (at 83) while I was levelling. I really enjoyed the change of pace while questing during the last week, but I may not feel the same way questing with a healer!

I did Hyjal to 82 -> Vash to 83 and a half iirc -> 1/3 of Uldum and 2 instances to 84 -> then Twilight Highlands to 85. Saw Deathwing fly by in TH and stood in fire, but no damage taken and no achieve.

On a sad note, the first item that dropped in my first instance was a weapon to replace Shadowmourne... all that work for 2 weeks of use. lol

yea pretty sure i had everything replaced at 84, neck was the longest holdout. lots of stuff drops that is better earlier but everything lacks hit, i found that i killed things faster with old gear with +hit on it then new master/crit gear

I've replaced everything but my exalted Ashen Verdict ring on my shadow set. Once I go through my holy set with all the quest rewards I'm holding onto, I don't expect much of them to last either.

Alright, going to get back into the game. Going to play a Goblin. My friends are on a PvE server now, going to transfer to a PvP or PvP-RP.

What is a good, medium or heavy populated PvP or PvP-RP server that is semi-balanced (I like being the underdog, so a 40-60 split or so is fine)? Going to play Horde, we want to be Goblins.

Also, I do not like the idea of cross-realm battlegrounds and instances, anyway to set a priority to get PUGs from your server? Or does it already do that and only goes to others in the battlegroup if none are available?

Also, anyone have one of those resurrection scroll things? Have not used one in about a year, so I should be good to go for another one if anyone is happy to oblige, if they are still around.

I only needed 140 in vash when it gave me credit for the ach. It says 160/160 now, I'm not sure why, but apparently you only need 140 to complete that area.

unless you were totally in 277 stuff, once you start getting the post 300 blues it's hard to hold on to anything.

I just recently replaced my entire 277 set (only thing I had that was 264 was belt from Prof Putricide) at 84 with greens, believe they were the darkbrand of the undertow set.

Kept the tier because I have since t6, rotting in the bank.

Been off for a few weeks due to the birth of my daughter, and managed to sneak in some extra time off for Cata. So far it's been an experience. My server is heavily Horde dominated and the amount of camping and ganking at quest hubs was beyond anything I saw in TBC and WotLK. I would say it was just World PVP happening.. but frankly it was nothing but pure griefing with mass numbers because they could without reprisal . Very disappointing. As such, I leveled to 82 thorugh Archoelogy and Mining then went to Vashj'ir Still got messed with when outnumbered, but it was a bit more managable.

So yeah, my beginning experience with Cata is a bit soiled, but seems fun so far

After all the great reviews I've read, I suprisingly found Vash'jir dull and boring.

I enjoyed Hyjal immensely and really couldn't stop playing until I'm done with everything, but a half of level in Vash'jir and it's really feeling like work now. Now at 82.5 should I move on to the next zone (Deepholm, I think)?

I'm convinced Vash's purpose was to make all the other zones enjoyable.

I liked it when I was there, but after doing Deepholm and some Uldum it was a slight pain in the arse.

Is there a decent list of new rep dailies somewhere? Hit 85 in highlands and the only one I can remember doing is the one in Uldum where you smash pygmys with a huge hammer. There have to be more then that.
