got a haircut today and stopped at the gamestop next door on the way out to take a quick peek, was somewhat surprised when I saw they still had several cata collecter ed boxes sitting on the shelf. previous worse selling collecter ed was BC and not sure even they lasted this long or in this number.

i think they made a lot more CEs for cata because of the demand for them in wrath. prob made too many

Maybe they do something weird like make them based on a percentage of their subscribers. Subscribers seemed to explode during Wrath, which would mean more units produced. Although, I don't think most of the "players" that joined would even care about a collector's edition.

Not me though... sign me up for two!

lol. I sent like five and none of them subscribed either. I ended up subscribing one of my own accounts that I SoR'd just to get the mount (basically paying $15 for it)

We are now 5/8 Heroic DS 10 man. Got a new undergeared tank and killed Hagara.

We're 5/8 as well and currently working on boat. Ended up beating Heroic Zon'ozz after a few attempts... it was surprisingly a bit smoother than expected!

Heroic Hagara always makes me cringe as a Rogue. My DPS kinda blows as Mutilate, but the speed increase is so damn nice during the frost phase. The issue is that Mutilate is absolutely meh at DPS when it switches targets so often. I end up going Combat and running into the big bubble and back out again after the ice wave passes. :|

Since I tend to go Combat in most fights, I ended up reforging my gear to work with Combat instead of Mutilate. My DPS went up quite a bit on Ultraxxion just from doing this! I was doing between 39-41k rather than my usual 35-36k that I had when I was reforged for Mutilate.

I play a warlock so that fight isn't good for me. Our dps should be good enough to beat ship this week as well. Spine is what I am worried about. It just looks dumb on heroic.

Sometimes what looks like failure at moving can actually be related to dispel failure. If someone gets a 10x stack of Snowflake on them, they cannot move. We said, "you'll get automatically dispelled if you also have the bubble debuff on you" (the snow patch doesn't appear in the bubble when dispelled), but there were a few times even that didn't go very smoothly.

Our dps should be good enough to beat ship this week as well. Spine is what I am worried about. It just looks dumb on heroic.

Blackhorn really isn't about DPS though. Sure, you need people that do moderate DPS, and not having melee is rather helpful. Well... except for Rogues. I almost always top the chart on Blackhorn (heroic or not), because of using Blade Flurry. My only qualm with it is that I'm never too sure if I should turn it off quickly when a mob charges and turn it back on after and if I should switch targets and possibly waste combo points? I might just need to use my points early and switch early.

But anyway... you also need people to soak the small circles, but then again... these same people cannot take the big circle unless they have a good cooldown (getting hit by the small circle gives you a +shadow damage taken debuff). Thankfully, as long as a tank is in the big circle (with an add), I can just pop Feint for a 50% reduction.

It isn't a terrible thing if you miss a circle or two, but it will spawn fire on the deck of the ship. The worst part about the fire is that it's been bugged for quite awhile. Little gnomes fly around and put it out, but the fire doesn't visibly disappear even though it will not deal any damage to you. So, you may run through some fire and think, "hey, this isn't so bad", and then try it again and take ~50k damage per tick.

But back to the circles! You also need two people to go into one circle at a time, because they deal over 200k shadow damage. I could probably survive one on my own with a cooldown (since Feint only has a 10s CD), but that's probably not that common. So, you'll have to get your people to coordinate and pretty much create a buddy system.

To give you an idea, there have been plenty of wipes where the boat blew up on us. So, unlike normal, it will definitely take some significant damage if you're not careful.

So my best friend stopped playing wow a while back and I bought his account recently. We have been good friends for years so im not worried about him taking it back. With that said...

I have a druid and a hunter I do pretty well with 6/8heroic and 5/8 heroic... I want to have fun with a third toon. He has:
85 DK
85 Rogue
61 Mage
83 Priest

What would be a fun and easy toon to play with? Hunters are pretty damn easy, the druid took me a few months to get a hang of. I am looking for something that I can pick up quick and have fun with. Also, I am a partial clicker if that makes any difference in selection.

Gear up the 85 DK and go to town. I don't know if it's just me, but Unholy DK is really easy and super fun to play. Oh, and don't ever tell anybody in-game that you bought that account. If someone reported you then you'll get banned for sure
Edit: I have started playing a Fire Mage as well and that would be my second choice. It's totally RNG with crit dependency, but boy is it fun to see those big numbers! I see that it's only 61 though so you need to do some work to get it to 85.

In other news 100k more MoP beta invites were sent today. Anybody here got one?

Ah yeah I need to finally try this sometime when I get the chance. I did Frost for a brief period back near the end of LK, but only for DW tanking when it was trendy. I never actually tried DPSing with Frost.
