I don't think he meant it would be hard to do. Paladins already get a mounted speed boost. And there's no technical reason it couldn't work (e.g. terrain pop-in) because you can already fly just above the ground at 3x that speed. It's just that Blizzard won't do it.

gotta decide what to do with my Horde shaman that I rolled for PvP healing (Area 52).

slog it out till 60 and use the level 90 boost for maxed out tailoring/enchanting, or use the level boost at 1 and just go something easy like herb/alch. (having just leveled enchanting to max on my Alliance warlock, I'd sooner gouge my eyes out than level it up again from scratch)

yep, ill freely admit i boosted a char or 2, HOWEVER im not stupid enough to jump them into LFR, ive done some 5 mans and general questing to get a feel for WTF im doing. i spent hours this week trying to get a Gorrash kill in LFR for the last part of the legendary quest, and i just ended up giving up

sadly FLEX is not free of morons, and generally ends up with 1-3 people carrying everyone else

Last night i was in normal SSO pug with a friend and the 2 of us were doing 40-50% of the raids damage

Noticed an interesting bit this weekend. I ran SoO #1 on my boosted warlock on Saturday afternoon. My boosted toon was in mostly timeless isle pieces with a couple of the 483's remaining (including staff), but fully enchanted/reforged except jade spirit. My DPS wasn't great, but it wasn't horrible either -- bosses were around 75-80k or so.

In that run, I got a cloak upgrade from a celestial turmoil, shoulders from Norushen, and luckily the staff from Sha. I upgraded the staff to 2/2, and enchanted everything. Ran SoO #2 on Sunday, those three upgrades were enough to bump me up to ~110k on 3/4 bosses. On Kor'kron Shaman, I finished at a hair under 130k (havoc feels like cheating sometimes...). Talk about the power of mastery! Can't wait to get some more pieces to see what I can get out of a somewhat-decently geared character. My other lock is ilvl 524 and roughly the same dps, but has some poor itemization on the SoO pieces so is actually at about the same % mastery.

Also, swapped my warrior from fury (483 MH / 463 OH) to arms (463 2H) and saw close to a 15k dps increase...without knowing how to actually play arms. I didn't realize fury was so bad comparatively, going to have to learn the new rotation. Solo'd BT and Hyjal on this toon, got full Onslaught and Cataclysm's Edge, looks quite awesome on a worgen. Still need the matching boots from BT, hoping to get lucky with the shield too but probably won't run weekly until it drops.

As reference, my 75-80k in SoO #1 was top-5 for that group. For SoO #2 I got joined on the 3rd boss first time, I was #2 on shaman at ~130k, #3 on Nazgrim at 115k. We beat the enrage by literally less than 5 seconds. However, when I requeued for the first two bosses, 110k was like #10 or something ... so it's hit or miss. For right now I'd say avoid ToT ... you can probably stay ahead of the boosters in SoO for another week or two.

your DPS on your lock is prob fine, some of the LFRs i was in had people doing sub 60k DPS

1. accept the invite from the first level 25 guild that spams
2. turn off guild chat
3. enjoy the guild level perks until max level
4. gquit, find a real guild

There are a lot of loopholes.

You have to decide if this is going to set the stage of your life or just be entertainment.

I loved WoW. I just don't have 3-4 hours at a pop to give to it anymore. I need a game that's 15-30mins tops.

WoW is still worth paying $13/month for, at least for me at this point in time.

I don't have enough free time to get into the raiding game beyond LFR, but it's a solid time waster/relaxer on the occasional evening/weekend afternoon that I don't have anything going on.

at max level, though, I'd be purely looking for a casual/social guild, like the guild my Alliance characters are in (they raid, but not competitively and there's no raiding requirement for members)

I think I had to play six games to get the three wins required. I don't have the time to invest in yet another deckbuilding game, so I don't know that I'll continue playing Hearthstone, but it was fun enough that I didn't mind doing it, especially for a free mount.
