IMO its easier to get doing arena, vs constructed

To do that I'd have had to unlock Arena. I just kept playing the starter Mage deck with whatever cards I unlocked via leveling.

I got my three under "Play". I'm guessing being familiar with TCGs was a big difference because I easily beat all 3 players I met. I imagine a significant number of people have never or barely played a TCG before and were just doing it to get the mount. Easy pickings.

Had an awesome surprise last night. I've been working on transmogs for a few characters over the past couple weeks -- Demon Stalker on my hunter, Bloodfang Recolor on my monk, Assassination Armor on my druid, Onslaught on my warrior, and Corruptors on my 2nd lock.

I had HORRIBLE raid / TBC heroic lockouts this week. I think I got something like 1-2 drops after clearing BT twice, SSC, Kara, full round of TBC heroics every day, nothing in SoO LFR, no celestial drops from 13 characters, etc. I expressed my unhappiness to my wife (former WoW player, it's where we met), and continued on with the last raid lockout of the week. Got to KT, hoping for the T5 warlock chest token ... that dropped, cool cape dropped that matches that set, and ... you guessed it! Ashes of Al'ar! I had run it 10-15 times on my mage and other warlock a while back and just kinda got bored with doing TK so I gave up. I guess I can't complain about this week's lockouts any more!

In other news, did some more 2s on my rogue last night, got to cap with a holy priest. Soooooo nice running with a healer. Lost a couple games we shouldn't have -- one was my fault for LoS, he had a disconnect one other. Overall, took 18 games to cap, could've been worse. 40 wins, 30 losses on the season ... I generally aim for 50% just because I don't have any pvping friends, I run only to cap with people from /trade.

I've never done RBGs, but if I can find one and get a win, I'll be able to get both prideful daggers (otherwise, I'll have to wait til next week's arena cap). I can't wait -- I just don't have enough burst to get through a healer/dps comp consistently. In 3 of our losses last night, I had the dps in a healer/dps comp down to sub 10% hp, but I just couldn't quite get there. If I had new daggers, those would've been wins Going to have to try and find one of those YOLO RBGs ... hopefully they're not too terrible. I've never done them before, I usually prefer just wrecking randoms.

I had to Google them too because I see them spammed periodically. My understanding is that they're just a pug RBG that doesn't really have a gear or exp requirement, and likely doesn't use vent/skype.

I'm guessing they don't win a lot unless they go against similar groups, but ... all I'm hoping for is one win.

I joined a new guild two weeks ago. I got to do Paragons and Garrosh on normal for the first time this week. I got a Warforged wand from Spoils and rolled the OH from Garrosh. My Warlock's spell power went up about 2900.

how's the OpenRaid/OPQ scene for someone who can only really log-in for one or two nights/week? my ele shaman is close to BiS at the LFR level, but I know that's still lagging far behind actual raiders.

If you're on an active server, just hang out in /trade and watch for groups looking to fill holes in flex groups. I'm on Blackrock-Horde and I'd have no problems finding a flex group if I were ilvl 530+. Until you're in Flex gear, it's unlikely you'll be able to jump into normal/heroic raiding.

LFR SoO is 528 and ToT normal is 522, you can do all of normal SoO in LFR SoO gear. Flex gear is not needed to run normal. When people spam for a higher ilvl than needed, it is one of two things:

1. They want you to know what you are doing so it goes smooth.

I'm not saying you CAN'T, I'm saying most groups outside of your guild aren't going to take you. On Blackrock, Flex 1-2 usually requires 535+ and 3-4 are 540+, maybe even 545+. Last night I spent ~1.5 hours in trade trying to find a RBG group (which I never did), and the 8-10 people I saw in /trade spam for normal SoO wanted 550+.

These numbers are probably lower on a lower-pop server, , but on a med/high server there's enough people at higher gear levels that these requirements eventually become standard.

I don't know, at this point in the expansion I sort of get it. If I were at or ahead of the curve and chasing one drop -- say, the Bindings of Immersius -- it'd be cool to have a raid full of people in the same boat. They've all been there before, and even though you haven't raided together before, it should be a relatively smooth run due to experience, a little extra help from gear, etc.

That being said, my highest toons are my rogue at 527 (pvp only), holy paladin at 524, and warlock at 522. I haven't tried getting into flex yet, and knowing that I'm going to have a hard time getting into one ... eh. I probably won't even try. However, knowing that I could go in on a mage at 525 or so and out dps some classes in 545-550+ .... that sucks, but no pug raid leader is going to believe that. I get it, it is what it is.

At this point, I'd just like to get more damn secrets to drop. Sat on the quest awhile and have been getting about 1.5 a week. Horrible rate and that includes doing some thunder runs just hoping they drop there.

I pretty much stopped playing the only character I even got to that point (holy paladin). I'm still running some SSC/TK transmog runs on him, and doing some random heroics to round out my grievous ret set, but I haven't done SoO on that guy in probably 6 weeks or so.

The lock/rogue that are going to be my focus in WoD ... well, the rogue is almost done with the sigil of power / wisdom but I haven't raided at all on him since MSV/HoF/ToES were new and cool ... and the lock was a boost because I'm moving to horde full-time and didn't want to pay for a faction change / server transfer of my alliance lock. He hasn't even started the legendary quest, doubt I'd get it done before WoD anyway.

Be interested if they'll be making any changes to that quest line, cause once WoD comes around, going to be next to impossible to compleyte it given how many times you must do a MoP raid.

assuming everything trends the same way even with the squish i imagin you will be able to 5 man the current raids at lvl 100

similar to how the cata content is now, some of which you can actually Solo

I bet they don't change anything, though I could be wrong. The legendary caster staff still requires all the raid drops after that content is long-irrelevant. Besides, most people wouldn't bother with doing the chain anyway once the cloak isn't massively OP.
