Patch Notes

• Character nameplates have been reworked and have been upgraded to show class resources. Players may select a larger version of these nameplates from within the Interface Options menu.
• Enemy nameplates now provide additional information on status effects.
• Added class resource bars that display directly underneath your character.
• The character sheet has been trimmed down, though fully verbose stats are still available via the API.
• Interface options have changed and been further streamlined.
• Tab targeting logic has been reworked, and should now behave in a more consistent and predictable manner.
• A buff icon has been added to make it easier to tell when a character has XP gain disabled.

the good news for people like you and I who mostly missed out on WoD gold farming is that there are a bunch of cosmetic gold sinks in Legion which will hopefully take some gold out of the economy.

So those graphics changes will come today, correct? I like how they just say 3 settings above ultra... I doubt it will look all that different. Not that I'm complaining, but don't give false hope.

Just re-subbed a couple days ago... have a lot to learn.

After some googling, it looks like the only graphics change is the draw distance. The "3 settings above ultra" is just because they are changing the graphics scale from Low, med, high, etc to 1 through 10.

I think even if they got it to look as smooth as HotS, it would be a nice change. But at the end of the day we're not likely to see any major noticeable differences.

10 minutes of work, not 10 minutes of time. It's just another option for a steady income source. I quit WOD at 1.7mil right before HFC was released so I don't need gold either, but it's useful to have more than less. Maybe they'll release a supergrandyak with insane perks at 5 million, you never know.

Speaking of nameplates, what are the best ones around? The one I've been using kinda broke months ago and I never got around to finding a replacement since I quit raiding.

Hmmm, I unsubbed just after I hit 2million a while back. I was kinda thinking it would be nice to have that cash available, but that is kind of a cool mount...

It still looks the same. Minor, minuscule things that are hard to notice if you are not looking for them with intent. Still looks like wow.

Log all toons to add up all the achievements for the transmogs and fabulous title.

One small thing that I saw that was a nice gesture, if a bit overdue, a legacy achievement "the ancient keeper" for those who did the hunter class quest back in the day. Hunters can equip staves again in survival so you can mog Lok and rhok

Man, nerf nerf nerf. Everything was sucked down and adjusted to be made worse in this patch. Not even my 20% mount speed in draenor perk survive for the non-pallies. What the hell difference does it make if my characters can go a little faster in old obsolete content bliz? What REALLY sucks is this is on top of their Warlords nerf to mount speed when they changed enhancements from multiplying to additive. 492% mount speed became 430% on my Pally and DK. I swear Bliz gets their jollies slowly but surely eroding earned rewards.

check your settings. mine was reset to the lowest new value, set it to the new max and I can work with it

Yep, mine was set to lowest value as well. While the new max value will work well for questing and probably 5 mans it is going to be much harder to raid lead as a tank the way it is. I still feel this is something that will get changed back at some point once enough of the top guilds complain openly.

On the other end of the spectrum is the new actioncam feature that functions like a 4rd person view cam and is pretty interesting for questing and general usage stuff. I can't see myself using it basically ever as I've been playing since the start but it is an interesting addition.

I like the paring down of abilities. It is nice to have less than 2 bars of abilities compared to the 4+ I had before. Though I still cannot figure out what to bind 2 to as it has been heroic strike on my warrior for 12+ years now. My fingers just do not know how to react to another ability there.

I just wish I knew what to do about raiding. Only one guild in the top 10 on our server (korgath) meets our raid time and their progression while not completely terrible (got stuck on mythic manno) just isn't what I'm used to or what I truly want. I just cannot bring myself to paying for a server xfer for some of my characters plus my wife's characters as well as it quickly adds up. Would love to xfer to stormrage. Hurry up and do away with servers Blizzard!

I logged in after installing the patch yesterday but still haven't subbed back in. Got quite a few tokens so I'll probably check out the patch this weekend. By then most addons should be updated.

I ran some LFR on my retadin last night... DPS didn't seem bad, but definitely boring.

I'll still be playing him as I try to finish the legendary quest, but I also boosted my druid to 100 and I'm looking forward to testing it out.

The latter is a bit of a cause for concern considering this is a product made for entertainment value.

It's better than it was IMO. I started out choosing the 5 holy thing but it slowed the button mashing down so i changed it. Using judgement + zeal strike or w/e with the 2 charges + templars verdict + blade of w/e. Throw in the aoe here and there, stuns and heals and it's ok. Not sure i like the big holy attack on the 3 min cd. Bit simple...

My main is a warrior - Arms is better too i think. Looking forward to trying my 82 warlock.

Overall i like the changes - just need to settle into the new rotations to get combat flowing nicely. The graphics/animations and sounds are improved, good stuff.
