Yes. I ordered the expansion-pack yesterday. I received it today. Regular product, nothing to do with pre-order. I registered my key with my account. When I logged in, I see the boost option on my character selection screen.

(Not tried it yet. I will decide what class to boost in a week or two. No need to rush. Although it seems I am the only wow-players in europe and the us who has the patience to do that. Lots of people crying because they regret boosting the wrong class).

Mal'ganis is a cluster Fk, theres like 1000 people standing on the quest givers and it takes 10 min to accept/turn in quests

Almost every server was/is like that. I played for about an hour last night and got to the garrison point. I couldn't get past that with all of the people there so I just went to bed.

Thing is though it's hard to tell if you'll like the class until you start playing it a lot. I leveled my warrior up to 60 then boosted and I'm still thinking I should have boosted my lock or rogue instead. Oh well. It's gonna be on the back burner to my druid/monk/shaman/dk anyways.

This makes me glad I rerolled on a low-ish population server when I re-upped a couple of months back. I got a couple of hours in on my hunter this morning with few problems. Of course, I think that was like 3am server time. Things may be rather more obnoxious after work.

Thanks. I'm thinking of boosting my Mage. She's only mid 60s or about and thus both level and profession boosting would be optimal. Tailoring and Inscription now, but I'm thinking of switching Inscription to something else, maybe Enchanting.

I have inscription and enchanting. I used to make a ton of money selling enchants but I got lazy. It takes a lot of work to do the math to see whats profitable and what's not being undercut hard on the AH.

Correct, the pre-order just gave you access to the boost immediately.

I have some questions about Bind on Account stuff though...I understand you can get it from Darkmoon, but I'm not sure where else to get it. It used to be Justice Points, I guess, but that was recently deprecated and you're supposed to be able to buy it with gold from Enchanter Erodin in Dalaran, but I wasn't able to find him. Not sure where to go from there...

They removed the ability to purchase those items when they took away justice points, you can only get them at the darkmoon faire now.
The guild rep pieces are still there for gold though

I believe you can still get the old justice point items for Argent Tournament tokens as well.

Things are getting worse. I played a bit this afternoon, got out of the solo-gameplay at the start of Draenor. Around 17:00-18:00 MET lag got bad. Then I got stuck, because my quest-givers where in an instance/phased-area, and the game failed repeatedly to create that area. About 100 players I could see, all waiting to get back to that same area.

I just tried to log on now, 21:30 MET. My server is listed as "locked". I can get to the character-selection screen. When I click "enter world", it pauses for 30 seconds. And then I get the error: "character not found". This happens for all my characters on that realm. I hope the situation clears up around midnight. I was planning to play all night.

With the weekend coming up, I suspect this won't get better until Monday ....

Usually its okay by the weekend. That's why I never take launch day off lol.

There is a fix. Google it. Or look back a few pages in the sticky WoW thread on this forum. I made a post about it. With a link.

Basically you need to:
run in dx9-mode
disable all AA in-game
download the free nVidia Inspector tool
in nVidia Inspector you need to set the AA-compatability bits to a specific value (0x000012C1).
set "AA - mode" to "Override any application setting"
set "AA - setting" to "4x [4x Multisampling]
you can set transparency to either Enabled Multisampling transparency (low impact on fps), or 4x SGSSAA (nicer, but heavy impact on fps).

I run with these settings since a week. Except from a weird effect on trees at the edge of the view distance, the game looks good. A lot better than TXAA or CMAA. It's worth it.
