Is there a good guide for Ashran PVP? I'm completely confused walking in. I randomly looted a player and got gear ?!
once a follower reaches level 100, is there any benefit on sending them out on a mission that only includes bonus XP as the reward?
the funny result of switching from my 95 shaman to my paladin is that I'm still logging in every couple hours to do missions and now all my shaman's followers are level 98-99.
nothing special really, I did dungeons but no more than 10, I had like 2 days of rested XP because I couldn't login until Sunday so that helped. I did a lot of those bonus objectives in the zones I was in as well
also Mal'ganis is like 99% horde, ive see 1 single alliance since WoD went live. but I did take that mounted combat thing
So I got the handynotes mod with the draenor treasure pack (highly recommend this), and started running around getting resources/killing rares and realized I didn't complete goregond or talador nearly as much as I thought.
I wouldn't mind a return to the day when a PUG couldn't just brute force their way through Heroics. Some actual tactics being required would be cool. When I sap or sheep something, don't break it! I can't remember the last time CC was actually required.
Are you having problems finding some of the chests? I spent a while this morning trying to track some of them down in Nagrand and I absolutely cannot find some of them.
Not with that mod. It tells you right where they are, and removes them from the map once you loot them. It doesn't know your history before you installed it, so install it ASAP. It's two different mods handynotes and draenor treasure pack.
edit: if you can't find one, just move on. You likely already got it, but they are hidden, sometimes very well.
and I'm still not sure what they're doing with garrisons. they've limited the rate of building it by throttling your resource income, you can farm all you want but you can't make the game process them faster. and while you're saving up those resources, you're leveling up causing the garrison missions to be for higher follower levels, so either you waste resources trying to keep up or once you get your garrison built up you'll be stuck waiting for an increasing smaller amount of low level missions to cycle through.
also they kept saying other than the initial establishing of the garrison, it was all voluntary part of the game, but the way they have most professions hooked into it that's not exactly true. then again professions seem kinda borked now anyway.
I'm sure the VC forum people recommended this, but if not, try increasing the voltage on your VC ever so slightly -- even if you haven't OC'd the card. Right after I got my 7950, I was experiencing hard locks in WoW and Crysis 3 when every other game and benchmark program ran fine. WoW's crashes were mostly random, but with Crysis 3, it was a specific part of a level that caused a crash every time. Fortunately there was a checkpoint about 10 seconds before the crashes, so it really helped with troubleshooting.
After trying several things (including re-installs of both games), I bumped the voltage to my VC a tiny bit and the crashes stopped. Haven't had a crash since.

saw a post that clarified assigning a follower to a profession building. at follower level 100 it's a 100% chance of additional resource, at 90 it's 50%. assuming it's a linear progression between the two points.
Seems to be an output guarantee for herbalism (and likely mining). I have a level 95 follower assigned to my herb plot, and every work order is returning 7 herbs instead of 5.
EDIT: Just noticed actual visible feedback on the loot systems and it's overwhelmingly in favor of personal loot instead of need/greed. The thread about it on the US forums is now 109 pages long. No way they change it back again, right? I'm convinced they were just seeing people gear up too quickly and wanted to extend the amount of time tanks/healers needed to spend in heroics.
I upgraded my garrison to level 3 last night, and that gave me a chance to finally get the Enchanter's Study to DE some items. While I knew you couldn't disenchant epics, what I never saw anyone say is that it's still not as good as an actual Enchanter's disenchant. Regardless of the ilevel of the green, you usually only get a single dust from it. If you're lucky, you might just get two dusts. Blues will offer between 3-6 small shards. I ended up selling anything worth about 20g or more because I just didn't think the worth of the resulting mats was nearly good enough. I was originally a bit enthused about getting to DE the worthless drops, but honestly... I think I might switch to something like the Salvage Yard.
They didn't have a good feel for the income:cost and are adding ways to get resources. The first random heroic dungeon will now grant 50 resources.and I'm still not sure what they're doing with garrisons. they've limited the rate of building it by throttling your resource income, you can farm all you want but you can't make the game process them faster. and while you're saving up those resources, you're leveling up causing the garrison missions to be for higher follower levels, so either you waste resources trying to keep up or once you get your garrison built up you'll be stuck waiting for an increasing smaller amount of low level missions to cycle through.
