Those crap blues I get all the time from salvage that sell for 2-4g give 9-12 dust or possibly one of those yellow shards. At one point I checked and I was money ahead to sell WoD greens and buy dust rather than DE those greens.

Yep, that's exactly what I do. Back in the day, any BoE went to get disenchanted (unless it could be used or sold for a lot), but the return on dusts for greens is just so freakin' bad that it's not worth it. Right now, I always separate all of the salvage transmog blues (the stuff that only sells for 2-5g) and the blues that only sell for 10-12g (mission rewards like necks and bracers). I have two accounts, so I have it setup to have an enchanting hut available on each account.

I'll usually collect about 10 items on each character, and then make the rounds disenchanting it all. Frankly, dust is not a problem at all; however, fur is starting to become an issue. I might just go kill a crap ton of Saberon guys as they drop it in droves.

(tbh, I think I'm probably headed towards a break soon... haven't left my Garrison on any character in like 2-3 weeks not counting LFR).

I feel your pain. I usually log in prior to leaving for work where all I do is setup my missions for the day. That's pretty quick at about 15-20 minutes for all 8 or so characters. It also gets faster as characters get more established so there isn't so much min/maxing in regard to follower EXP or having to boost follower ilevel for missions. I had to do that on two characters this morning as both have started Highmaul.

However, my post-work WoW times are probably the worst. It takes nearly two hours to do all of my garrison stuff across all of my characters, and it's so mind numbing! The problem is that you just need so flippin' much crafting items that you need to keep on top of gathering. I try to make things quicker by only allowing certain characters to use the Mine, but it still takes time. Frankly, I'm a little sad that they're fixing the Miner's Coffee stacking bug. My rogue can run around at 245% speed while stealthed and using Sprint!

Anyway... after I do the garrison stuff, I don't even want to play anymore. I just log off and go watch TV.

2 bars before level 100!

Did three Skyreach LFG yesterday and all three damn runs gave me gold on the first and third bosses and the same drops from the second and last bosses...freaking annoying lol

Still need to finish every zones. Just completed Talador yesterday and i'll try to start a new one soon. So far I finished Frostfire Ridge, Gorgrond and Talador. Gonna jump in Spires or Nagrand next.

Can't wait to raid!

If you're rushing to raid but also want to do all the zones jump to nagrand ASAP, go back and do spires. However, make sure you do the quests for the scavenger hut in spires while leveling.

Yup greens no matter what ilevel is a sell. Blues are typically a DE but some of the weapons are worth selling at 60g

I DE all current items, vendor the rest. My alt can't produce enough dust to run the enchanting hut (not playing him enough for scav/missions DEs to generate them). Make things super simple.

I'm not that in a rush, i'm enjoying the zones and quests in this expansion and while I quest I queue for some LFGs to get my ilevel up in the process.

I prefer this approach and I can enjoy the new stuff at my pace.

But I might do Nagrand next anyways and Spires after that.

You should try to be level 100 before Nagrand so you can build your Dwarven Bunker (or whatever the Horde equivalent is). The reason why is that the building doubles your upgrade chance and also boosts the upgrade by +10 ilevel. So, a 600 green boosted to an epic becomes a 630 epic. The upgraded Nagrand gear is usually quite good and can be better than some of the heroic gear.

Thanks for the tip. I'm so near level 100 now and need 1 or 2 quests to complete Talador. After that I think i'm gonna change my mind and do Spires first...i'm not in a hurry and the zone look fun.

I hope I have some time tonight to log in!

I haven't touched the game besides garrison missions for my 2 level 100, been spending my time on heroes of the storm but recently something peaked my interest, might try the WoW Iron Man challenge on a monk

Fur and leather is the worst. I have a couple characters with barns but I can barely convince myself to get my arse out of the garrison to go collect it. Why can't there just be a barn full of sheep and lizards in the garrison to harvest like ore and herbs? LOL

With my main though, now that I'm more or less garrison resource capped, I got a trading post and have been getting plenty of fur and leather to do my daily crafting that way. The only thing I'm not getting that way is the bloods from the barn.

yeah, when I originally read the description of the barn, it sounded like your minions would go out and trap animals for you.

when I built it and realized that I had to actually farm the animals myself -- nope, no thanks.

with the money I make from everything else, though, I just buy cloth and leather as needed on the AH, supplemented by Trading Post purchases as needed.

Level one bunker is available before 100, and it's the reason why the fast track (without being too crazy) has you hit nagrand at 98.

Interesting, I may have to try putting in the War Mill (horde version) for some of my alts as I level them.

Of course heirlooms are going to go to 100 soon, who knows if reward gear will even matter...

Yeah, I know that you can build it prior to a level 3 garrison, but you'd also need to destroy your barracks. Honestly, it's not a big deal to do that, but wasting the barracks does make me cringe a little. I guess I just don't like wasting the resources early on when you're going to get pretty low from the level 3 upgrade.

losing the 615/630 tokens may not matter to someone that has been at 100 for awhile, but gonna suck if someone starts playing new or an alt and leveling just on the +3/+6/+9 ones.

Ok, things are making sense now that I have followers at level 100 and a level 3 garrison.

But I really need to farm Sumptuous Fur...i'm always too short on this, everything else I have a steady supply.

For now I have the Mine L2, Herb L1 and Fishing Hut L1, plus:

- War Mill L2
- Frostwall Tavern L2
- Enchanter's L2
- Tailor L2
- Lumber Mill L2

I'm still at a loss on most features and i'm sure i'm not using my garrison effectively. I have no one assigned to my buildings and i'm just sending them to missions when I think about it lol...

Currently you can assign a follower to a building just for the pickup and you'll get the bonus. I think that changes tomorrow where you have to have a follower assigned for all 4 hours work of the order.

I'm not sure how most people will do it going forward but I expect people will pair down to just the 1-2 buildings they need a follow in the most. Losing 2 followers hurts a lot for missions.

Missions yield items, there's no downplaying their benefit, I almost always have at least 1-2 mission pieces on me.

Seeing how you are being things a bit, you need to play the follower game even more to catch up their ilvls, meaning you'll probably use the building bonus even less.

Thanks i'll try to catch up on that.

What are the best places to farm Sumptuous Fur?

EDIT: Found a spot, southern most part of Gorgrond, farming Trailthrashers. Drop rate is pretty high as is their respawn time.

I once had a barn, but I freaking hate the micromanagement of things...I even get annoyed farming lumber lol and skip most of them...too lazy...just the idea of logging in just to farm and trap make me nauseous

But maybe i'll rebuild it and give it a try.

Barn trapping isn't bad at all anymore. Use the group finder thing to find a group to trap elite wolves. I trapped 100ish in about 20-25 minutes last night. At 22 fur per work order (with a follower assigned), that's ~2200 furs and probably 30 savage bloods.

Thanks i'll try to catch up on that.

If you still prefer to farm it, there's an amazing spot on the southern-ish coast of spires. At work so I can't find a map, but it's basically furry humanoids (they look like the follower Goldmane the Skinner). Respawn time and mob density is pretty decent, especially if you're there alone.

Ditto the barn recommendation. Or just buy it off the AH. Barn made fur/leather acquisition so easy, the stuff is near worthless (around 1.7g per on my server).

I just buy fur on the AH since I can't be assed to leave my Garrison anymore... it's only about 1.5g each on my server, so it's more than offset by the gold I make from garrison missions/vendoring gear.

Even at 1.7g per fur, that's still 225 gold / day in profits from taking 3 minutes to trap 6 wolves in a group. Factor in selling savage bloods for 700g/ea and that 225g/day shoots up to ~1600g/day for 5 minutes of work / travel time.

Aside from mount flipping (risky), where else can you get that kind of gold that quickly?

I don't understand the bodyguard idea. Go anywhere outside your garrison and they disappear. What am I doing wrong? I once flew somewhere and it went with me, but I can't duplicate that and have no idea how this is supposed to work...

Just a little experience I have since level 100.

Like I said i'm a really casual player. When I log I do what I feel like doing and it usually end up questing and LFG queing. So when I hit 100 I saw a whole bunch of new dungeons with the ilvl 595 as a requirement. I was 593 at that time with only Skyreach available. I only needed either the gloves from the second boss) or the boots (from the third boss) to drop so I can move on.

Took me freaking 21 runs just to get those damn mittens from the second boss...everytime I got gold or the exact same item from the previous runs. On top of that, this 21th run also gave me the effing mocassins...

So finally I got the item to push me at ilvl 595+ so I can now start LFG the new dungeons. Three runs yesterday...guess what I got out of 12 bosses? One cloak and 11 gold drops...

I love this game hahah
