I feel that them giving us flying is one big troll.

6.2 is fucking worthless unless you love grinding rep. then its amazing. I for one am already bored. I log in to do navel shit and log off. fuck doing these daily's. I guess tuesday is the only day i stay logged in for a few hours. i get to do LFR and some ofthe "rare" weekly mobs.

They made a great case for me to find another game.

Yeah I used a token to check out the new zone and after 30 minutes of Tanaan I just gave up on it.

I moved on Thursday and the Comcast self-installation kit was supposed to show up on Friday. Didn't get it until today, so I basically missed everything I wanted to do before reset (killing Kazzak on all toons for felblight, getting tomes for legendary quest, etc).

I liked WoD and Tanaan. Sorry to sound like a shill, but with all the detractors in this thread I thought I'd defend it. Maybe it's because I hadn't played since BC so a lot of the stuff I think is cool is stuff that's been around for awhile.

I am kinda surprised more people don't like Tanaan. In the Flying/No-flying debate, a bunch of people talked about loving random, undirected exploration of out-of-the-way areas that are seldom visited by players. Tanaan to me seemed like the ultimate version of that, made even better because you were actually rewarded for going off the beaten path with rare mobs and treasures.

Went into a random cave the other day that no other players were going into because there weren't any quests associated with it. Explored it and was rewarded with a treasure that served as an unlimited mana drink. Explored a random coastline and found a treasure that resurrects party members. Explored another random coastline and found Diablo's soulstone.

That is because you did it the way Blizzard designed it. Most of us took the fun part out of it and used addons that told us exactly where all the treasures are.

I don't mind Tanaan. It was fun for two weeks, but now it is just a rep grind. Hellfire Citadel is just an excellent raid. The first two bosses are ho-hum, but after that, each one has a pretty unique mechanic that is entertaining.

I'm sure I find Socrethar more fun because I get to use the Construct.

I don't think anyone has really complained about the actual PvE fights. The raid bosses are simply top notch this tier. What they screwed up with on that front was the release schedule and loot ilvls.

Do you have a smartphone? I've tethered through my phone and played WoW in the past with no problem. My latency was only about 20-30ms higher than normal. It's pretty helpful when your Internet just goes out for whatever reason.

4 days left on my sub although I do have two tokens in the bank. Hit 200K in gold the other day and bought a few tokens when they dipped below 24K. Completed everything I needed for flying in WoD, just waiting for patch at this point. Might try some of the WoD dungeons and raids but I have zero experience at this point so I'd be lost.

My only complaint was probably Gul'dan... his voice and sound effects were just weird.

Looks like they"ve finally fixed ashran!

Using some of their older tech, they are putting in NPCs in the ashran battlecamps so when your side has a wait, you can select to be transformed to the opposing side to fight for them instead of waiting in the queue.


Also they have finally enabled flying on the ptr.

Yep. The cat people rep especially is just awful. It's like they just lost interest in making any respectable content and just plopped a mind numbing mob bashing grind straight out of vanilla in before calling it a day. Did the folks at Blizzard think it was actually fun in this day and age to just grind mobs for hours on end? The art team that built the zone did their jobs. The team responsible for making content for it in contrast phoned it in.

Yeah, if you want Saberstalker rep in a timely manner, it's a craptastic grind. However, if you don't care how quickly you get it, the weekly and daily (when it actually pops up) give a ton of rep (3500 and 1500 respectively, before bonuses).

It's the "Loot 5000 claws" achievement that I'm dreading, since the 100 claws from the daily don't count.

I'll use flying most certainly for my alts but at this point my main doesn't really need it although it will make moving around Tanaan a lot more efficient. I let my account expire until the new patch comes out, seemed like a good time to take a break.

Also, I finally hit 1,000,000g last week across my eight 100s. Even with the nerfed gold missions, I'm still pulling in a decent weekly amount between the auction house and what's left of the gold missions.

Missed this post. I dropped my cell plan last year to save money when I was between jobs. I should probably consider starting it up again, but I think I'll wait until Octoberish when the next wave of smartphones is released.
