I hate to say it guys but I think the complainers really screwed up something that we all did not appreciate with BC. Everyone complained 'oh noes you have made my T3 useful by a quest green!' but now look where we are. I don't even see any items in the first few dungeons that are going to be worth using much less quest rewards. And that means this expansion, at least the first half of it, is going to be just another xp/gold farm. Ugh.
Am I alone in this? Do you not feel like you're missing something when every single quest is a search for the most profitable gold return?
what exactly are you getting atEveryone complained 'oh noes you have made my T3 useful by a quest green!'
i dont understand
A lot of people were complaining that their level 60 epic gear was being replaced VERY quickly by greens/blues in Outland. This time around that isn't going to happen. The quest/dungeon setup is, for the most part, laid out to help out the guy who just dinged 70 while the average/above average BC raider won't get to see much in the line of quest and dungeon upgrades until mid 70s +.
I just miss being able to upgrade myself a couple of pieces a level like in BC. As it is now I just pick the most profitable vendor item from the reward list and continue on my merry way.

wow.... it has come to an end. I've been playing since beta and I think I'm going to cancel my subscription. I was sort of excited about WotLK, but.... I think im going to play all those other games I missed as well as my freelance.
sad that a 70 rogue, mage, druid are all going to to waste. ah well.

played a bit last night in Halowing fyorde (sp) and it looks amazing, visually its much better then TBC, kinda amzing, did some instances, Keep, the spider place as well as the one over in tundra, all are pretty easy, short and pretty fun
the mob character models simply look amazing. and the music is great as well, even if you generally play with sounds off as many do i recomend turning them on for lvling

I really like the approach BLizz is taking with regards to graphics with this game. They continue to improve them little by little as time goes on, but continue to keep the game easy to run because they update them at a relatively slow pace. Now if only they'd fix the problem with their dynamic shadows and crossfire I would be really happy.

I did The Nexus last night as rogue, feral druidx2, shadow priest, ret pally. Personally I found it boring. Hallway after hallway of the same crap with terrible scenery and easy bosses. Maybe it's just the zone theme altering my mood, as I would much prefer some green like Nagrand or STV.
Either way I'm looking forward to going home and leveling some more.

My DK is at 58 (1 bubble away from 59) and I still have no put any talents into the tree. I've been trying to read up on it as much as I can but I can't really find anything that makes any spec sound better than the others. My plan was to go DPS with less downtime so I thought blood would be the best spec. Any thoughts?

I'm curious about something; I quit about two years ago but I'm considering picking the game up again to see the new content. When I played before, I was a pretty hard-core raider: C'thun farming guild before Naxx, but I burned out and quit about halfway through Naxx, picked it up again for BC, then burned out on the endless rep grind and didn't feel like putting in 4 hours a night raiding anymore.
I'd consider myself a hardcore/casual player mostly now. Sometimes I'll be able to devote large amounts of playtime, but I really don't want to be locked into the part-time job that is WoW raiding anymore. It sounds like I'll be able to see most of the content at this point because of how Blizzard is doing the raid content (10 and 25 man raid, but different loot), but I'd be curious about some actual feedback from someone who's been playing for a while to get a sense of it.
I'm curious about PvP, as well. i ground to rank 11 in the old PvP system on my druid and love to PvP, but again, I'm just curious how much time is involved to get a character up to be halfway-competitive.
And one more question ... I sold my account when I quit before (nice chunk of change, too. ), so I'm curious what it's like to start from scratch now. It sounds like the leveling is considerably faster in general, but aren't there also some shortcuts if you've got another higher-level character? A friend of mine who also quit may start up with me, so I'm curious how that "Bring a Friend" thing works, and I guess just a general overview of the trip to 70/80 now be a huge help.
Thanks!

I don't play WoW, but I have a roommate who does (averages 50-60 hours a week). I was laying in bed last night trying to go to sleep when I heard him racing up the stairs and in the door at 12:13 AM. He'd been in line for 2 hours at Gamestop to pick up a copy.
I'm pretty sure he stayed up all night last night playing and I won't see him the next 4 days. He got a late start on the game, but apparently he's one of a group of thirty people who are going to try to take down the top WoW guild.
WTF?

Update:
He apparently played 18 hours straight, from approximately midnight until 6 pm yesterday. He actually came out of his cave at 6:30 pm and was talking about how he was going to get some rest because he had to wake up at 10:30 pm and play all night again.
When I left this morning at 8:15, he was still playing...
What a waste. I have the wireless router in my room, I wonder what he'd do if I accidentally pulled the plug.
