That was rather fast. I've been out of the loop for a while, but I would still have imagined it would take more than 3 days to clear out the whole PVE content of the expansion. I guess they did it on beta allready, but still.

Well, in beta all of the current content was available to the players for months. There is nothing in Naxx that was changed from pre-BC, really no learning involved.

I'm pretty sure they rushed to 80 by power grinding instances and not touching a single quest, like the current 79-80s on my server. Just earlier I saw some 80s going back to the lower level zones to do quests. The game wasn't really "dumb'ed" down. It can't be if a huge majority of the end-game content was already done from past instances.

Now they PvP? Pretty sure they got to play all of WotLK during Beta already. Which explains why they cleared WotLK retail so fast. But yeah, it doesn't sound like much fun to me when you just roll through content that fast. I looked up some of their raid members on wow armory, and they're only L76.

I'm aware NAXX has been out pre-TBC but I was somehow still expecting something more. I really don't care if they rushed to beat all of the content, nor do I really care about their motives. In the end it's a game. But still after ~2 years of development they come up with 2 outdoor bosses and one recycled raid-instance? I know there is more to come, but I just can't remember was it like this when TBC came out?

Good thing is that many people i've heard have been really enjoying the new content, questing and doing instances, so I guess they got that side right

Sighs.. I thought the queues would be better at 11pm on a Saturday night... it seems teh nerdz is in full force . I'm in a 80 minute queue right now .

It's nice playin' on my DK though... I get to have a lot of fun being a crazy mother fucker pulling 5 guys at once . It's like playing my Warrior and having no cooldown on Bladestorm!

But at least with these queues I get to watch more How I Met Your Mother.

Also got into a nice instance group and ended up doing the lower 5 ones all tonight. Still sharded most of the blues so got a couple of those and in Drak we had 3 of the bandaid books drops one after another so we all ended with one.

Nope, there was far more raid content of much higher difficulty when TBC hit. Sure, Kara was a joke, Gruul wasn't too bad, but Mag was pretty nasty before they took out the nerf bat.

Are you serious? Mag wasn't really that hard if people just stuck to the plan (if they even have a plan to begin with), and do their job at each phase. My guild took out Mag before the neft and Lady Vashj before they dropped the attunement. Like somebody else already mention, blizzard nerf the shit outta WoW to cater to the average joes. You don't even need team work and coordination to beat raid content anymore. Really sad. I think they changed WoW into hello kitty online to make everybody happy.

With that said, I'm gonna go out and buy a copy of WotLK now so I can make a gnome DK.

Wow - and I thought it was ridiculous to see lvl 72ish DK's already. Ah well - some people play this game to get to the end only to sit idly by and spam "barrens wotlk" chat while the rest of us actually stop to read the quests and take our time to enjoy the game.

this piece of shit ass game will not install properly. i constantly get errors at 2% and if i try to copy the dvd content to my hd so i can try installing from there, i also get an error that wont allow me to finish transferring all the files. judging by the 57+ page thread on the WoW forums, this is not an isolated problem im having. what a load of shit.

Well, installation of all 3 WoW games went fine. 302 patch got d/led pretty fast. Back to square one on learning how to play my hunter and druid again.

Did your guild spend over a year on SSC? The first round of Mag nerfs happened very shortly after TBC launched, maybe within a month or so(roughly, don't recall exactly). The trash heading to Mag could wipe a raid in 5-6 seconds prior to the first round of nerfs on him(the RoF would tick for 2K+ per lock per second). He was possible prior to the nerf(positioning of your tanks was huge), but getting to him was far more challenging then the bosses in BT ended up being by the time they removed the BT attunement chain.

The last major nerf they did to Mag when they shortened the debuff from clicking isn't the one I'm talking about- that just took away the last little shred of challenge left to the fight for guilds who had trouble in Kara.

we killed both grull and mag pre nerf, pre the 1 mill HP nerf to grull which was IIRC the first
that shit was over turned, also killed the orig version of vashj which was a major PITA

You remember about where you were ranked dropping them Anubis? I know on our server pre patch 3.0 we almost hit 75 T6 guilds, only 2 got Mag down before the nerf.

Heh, as a side note, 5 hours ago a DK hit 80 on my server....
