We figured out the buff issue, it was just getting that extra 4-5 mil down. Now things may change with full Ulduar sets but we figured with 4 healers 2 tanks each dps needs roughly 9k dps... casters cant always get that due to moving so melee have to do roughly 11-12k and not pull. Which basically comes down to the rng of the fight, do the melee get haste buff for the fight or does the healers

Blizzard has stated that they will never make the fights that difficult again. As one of the few suvivors of clearing Sunwell pre-nerf.. I can kind of agree with them on this point. On the otherhand.. if Hard Modes tend to just be a gearing issues vs. skill.. then I'll be annoyed

Sunwell wasnt even that hard... Muru was the only hard part for us but thats because we had a tank quit mid learning.

I'm a little disappointed that I never got to truly finish my healing set on my Shaman... I wanted to avoid buying the 25 EoV ring, because it really isn't that good for a resto shaman anyway. I also have to buy the cloak, but I believe that one is decent for us. Also never really got a trinket, so I have to buy the badge trinket and make the crappy blue JC trinket .

But oh well... on the PTR I had ~2200 spellpower in my healing set, which isn't too shabby (note that was without flametongue totem).

But I'm going to buy the Shaman Enhancement Totem for 25 EoV, the healing cloak for 25 EoV, the ring for 25 EoV (I have around 170 EoV ). I need to go and get that totem from the Venture Co as well... I still have Healing Rains from Karazhan :laugh:.

Oh and recommendations on the best and most lightweight outfit mod? I know there's ItemRack, Closet Gnome and Outfitter... but for the sake of not having to try all three, anyone have any preference. I know I used to use IR back in the day for switching to my mount stuff (trinket, spurs, glove enchant), but now we have no use for that, so it's really just switching gear when I switch specs.

I love outfitter. I used itemrack before, but I much prefer outfitter. I don't know how to explain it, you just have to use it. closet gnome must be new, 'cause I only heard about it in wlk.

They did, but they removed it for unspecified issues. I used it on the PTR and it worked just fine for me.

I don't really understand why it's so fuckin hard to patch it. Patch works on PTR? Check. Deploy patch to main servers. OS, software, etc. should all be the same from machine to machine for a reason. DAoC never had an outage this long, and when it was extended, they gave out free XP and bonuses.

I have a feeling they don't have a 'freeze' period on their patches. They keep making little changes up to the end instead of freezing it out a week or two earlier like they should.

I used closet gnome a long long time ago. I'd say BC for sure and maybe classic.

hell the 2.0 patch made servers unplayable for like 3 days and it deleted peoples gear
