humm it installed and a window poped up asking me to upgrade account/play wrath,
then it opened up the launcher and downloaded the 3.03 patch cause i guess i didnt have it on the other comp, now if i try and run that installer again it says it cant conect to the internet stream

Either a few possibilities, they took it down completely so we cant log on with that server, everything is all ready and we just have to upgrade our accounts when its released with a new cd key, or they botched something and we still need to load the game again or from the cd/dvd.

yea i can log in normally on that comp to the NON EXISTING SERVERS currently so either it buggerd itself or the stopped something

Do you have a computer without this on, cause I would like to test something:

Start wow up with the new download, with the background launcher turned off, do you see a WoTLK logo flash up right before it goes to the login screen,

Now try this same thing with the un-updated computer and do you still see this logo or do you not?

If its only the first, then I believe all we have to do is update the account and we are set

I've been trying to get my paladin to Outlands before Thursday but now it seems like that won't happen if I don't get any playing time tonight.

right now that updater from you link does nothin, it look like blizz turned it off cause a bunch of guildies tried it and yea nothing happens that error

in terms of the question you asked with/without the thing installed and the launcher dissabled i do not see the wrath logo, it looks the same as it always has

Weird cause I dl it and when I start up the game normally I see the wotlk logo on the screen and it wasn't there before so I think i completed the dl early enough and installed it before they could do anything

lol servers are back up and random PVP gear from the venders is totally free

All season 2 seems to be free as well as random S4 necks and rings as well as the hunter 1H axe

is it showing 0 arena points req'd? I checked on my druid and nothing shows as 0 arena points req'd and when I went to purchase something at 3k points it said i didn't have enough (which is true).

I did see the rings/neck for free though. They'll take them away tomorrow probably... like the shaman t6 thing a while back?

What you can get varies by class. I picked up the crit set and some other crap on the lock, mainly to see if it would stay after tomorrow when they finally do some head removing from ass after today's maintenance. Just to check i also put my l1 warrior bank in there and he could get free necks too.
