Again, the softcap for both Honor and Justice conversions is 4000 points. This means that if a character converts to above 4,000 points, it will not be possible for them to earn more until they fall below the 4,000 cap.

A hardcap will be implemented in a following patch before Cataclysm's release. At that time, any excess points above 4,000 will be converted as follows:
? Honor points above 4,000 are converted to gold at a rate of 35 silver per point of Honor.
? Justice points above 4,000 are converted to gold at a rate of 2 gold per point of Justice.

The Cataclysm beta currently features a Requires Authenticator checkbox in the guild controls for each rank in a guild. Once activated for a rank, you cannot promote someone to that rank unless he or she is using an authenticator. At this time, the highest rank below Guild Master defaults to Requires Authenticator's being checked, and all other ranks default to its being off.

Meh, if anything, they're giving you more bang for your buck. If we were going into another tier as patch 3.4 instead of it being an expansion, then they'd introduce some new fancy named emblem for T11, frost would be easy as hell to get, and all of those Triumphs you have from farming heroics for 9 months would be worthless. At least now you'll get something out of them (depending on what you can buy with justice points, anyway).

They're not giving you anything for your buck. Go onto the PTR or onto beta and see the fact that you cannot afford anything. I could buy two pieces of Tier 10 on live right now and can't afford a single piece on the PTR!

Justice Points are literally used to purchase anything that originally cost Emblems including Emblems of Heroism/Valor/Conquest. Even the heirlooms are incredibly expensive.

What's even odder is that the amount of Justice Points that I was given is not what it should be... I should have nearly 3x as much given I have 158 EoF and 305 EoT on live.

Meh, I guess I just see it differently. If you want the mount, it sounds like you can easily get it before 4.0 hits in a month. The heirlooms you'd be able to buy only go to 80, so are partially not worth it (depends on your view).

Besides, I'm almost willing to bet money that the prices currently up aren't final in any way, shape or form. The transition makes those items WAY too expensive, especially when you consider that it's T10 quality items that everyone leveling from 1 to 85 will now bypass. Once Cata hits, you'll either be at 80 and start questing for gear instead of farming WotLK dungeons for points or you'll be leveling up towards 80 and won't stop to get T10 gear since it'd be a complete waste of time.

Update - The first part of Patch 4.0.1 is now available on the background downloader, it will most likely cheer up people who came up with crazy theories of a Cataclysm release in early November. I won't give away the names, we all know who they are.

Either the DK Threads at Elitist Jerks.com or there is an excellent sticky at Tankspot.com in the Damage Per Second forum. 17/0/54 is the usual build for Unholy; until you get really geared out - in which case you should be considering Blood for better personal DPS, unless your Guild wants to keep the Ebon Plaguebringer debuff for their casters. Not a bad idea, especially if you end up running 25s, since the debuff multiplied by the number of casters will easily outweigh the difference in your own numbers.


At 71, you have enough points to finish off your chosen tree, so do that first, then fill out your off (Blood, in this case) tree with what you have left. Here, do Butchery and Subversion in tier 1 and 2 Hand Specialization in Tier 2. And then fill out Bladed Armor and Dark conviction later on as you level and get your last points. Be advised that as UH there is arguable reason to do Bladed Armor first, and leave 2 Hand/Dark Conviction for later.

In Unholy, you should fill out:

Vicious Strikes and Virulence | Ravenous Dead and Eidemic | Outbreak and Necrosis | Blood Caked Blade and Night of the Dead | Unholy Blight, Impurity, and Dirge | Master of Ghouls | Desolation | Crypt Fever | Wandering Plague, Ebon Plaguebringer, and Scourge Strike | Rage of Rivendare | Summon Gargoyle

For Glyphs - Ghoul is way better than a lot of people think - with it, your pet will become much more powerful, useful, and longer lived. I liked Icy Touch and Unholy Blight for the other two majors.

Gear Wise - Stack Strength, mind your Stam and Armor, get the SLOWEST (hardest hitting) 2 hander possible (the Heirloom Axe is very nice, if you have the spare emblems), and you can't go too far wrong.




{edit} for the Record: I *love* my Droid for being able to go double check this stuff when sites at work are blocked.

I don't usually post comments on the official forums anymore. I found out during the WotLK beta that unless you're that "popular tester guy", no one ever reads your comments. I posted quite a bit in the Death Knight forums during beta, and whenever I'd make constructive comments... nothing. Then, some "popular tester guy" would come along and say the same thing I did, and of course, everyone responded.

Why should I even waste my time? I'd rather just bitch about it, and bitching it does deserve since to me... it looks like a rather large oversight, which Blizzard has been very commonly making these days.

All of my characters are on Elune (US-EST-PVE) but I'm really looking for a PVP server as it will be my main priority (due to life-priorities I will not have the time (nor dedication) to get heavily involved in PVE like I once was..)

I love my Ghoul glyph.... i could never understand the hate for it.
I also have Glyph of Raise Dead so i dont need corpse dust for it.

and of course using all the possible Heirlooms.

Hmm so apparently trying to heal Ignis on my Holy Priest and DPS it (in a separate instance) on my Demo Warlock is not a good idea . Sadly, even while playing both at the same time, I still out-DPS'd the other warlock in the group >_>.

Someone very smart pointed out something very disturbing. Worgens already had Darkflight, a temporary speed spell applying a Mod Speed to the character. So, why did Blizzard add that spell in this build?


•Running Wild - Drop to all fours to run as fast as a wild animal.

This spell doesn't apply a mod speed, and applies a "Mounted" aura to the player. It's a racial, and it's apparently a Level 20 spell. It also has a 1.5 sec cast time, like all the mounts spells. I don't want to say it yet, but that would explain why we never saw a model for the Worgen Mount.
