Hmmm... so the trick is to frost nova the scrap bots in place and kill the boom bots right on top of them. The problem I see with that is the boom bots don't always spawn from the same place as the scrap bots. We'll work on it some more tonight. Do you guys dps the heart until broken heart's over, then all range switch to scrap bots and boom bots? 'Cause DPSing on the heart carries over to dmg on the boss. But you don't want the scrap bots to get close to the boss and heal him. The boom bots are easy enough to take down, it's the scrap bots that sneak in until it's too late that's giving us the problem.

yea that only works when they actually spawn and or spawn with scrap bots. we got lots of only bots and only bombs which didnt really make anything easier

Yeah, sometimes you get back luck.

We DPS the heart for about 90% of the duration. Then the WHOLE RAID goes onto adds to eliminate them. If some scrap bots are getting close, I moved the big dude.

It took some practice...

Killing the heart activates his Hard Mode. Therein lies your problem.

Also trounced Razorscale and hit a brick wall at Ignis. FWIW, switching to a druid main tank helped immensely. Even after the armor nerfs, his is far enough ahead of the warriors to survive a lot longer here.

Im guessing he means how many will try the hard 25 man modes next week and then go back to the normal 25 man modes to gear up.

We could only kill FL on 10-man... I feel noobish . We didn't really have any of our normal tanks available though so we were using alt tanks. I think our damage was low on razorscale... we only got her to 85% after the first harpoon. We had add control issues while she was down... is there any recommendation for harpooning? Just doing it ASAP (as soon as #2 is avail) and then having the tanks handle the adds? The problem I had is that I usually got fireballed twice and then got a flame patch put down on me . I would switch from DPS to healing at points too as we were running 2 heals and 2 tanks.

We also tried Deconstructor... lol @ Buu voice from Dragonball Z. He actually wasn't too bad for us, but the tank ended up dying in almost every encounter and then we had some bad control over the scrapbots... them things were coming in like crazy.

I think another issue is the DPS... I was the only person doing over 3k and I had almost none of the good buffs.

EDIT:

I should note that the 85% on Razorscale was after I switched to healing so we only had 5 DPS (2 tanks and 3 healers).

What'd you do to control the adds? Did you try and move the boss up the stairs or something to get them all heading in the same direction (so they'd eventually all gear near each other and have to pass through one area)?

I think the issue that we had on Buu was that the tanks just kept dying for some reason. I actually had a lot of issues with range on them as I was standing with the rest of the group and kept getting in and out of range . The boss has no frontal cone attacks (that I know of), so it'd be easier if he was just turned toward us.

Although I think we honestly gave up way too easily on some of the bosses... gave Razorscale maybe only 5-6 tries before people were all "let's give up and do something else."

ugh fail....I can't log onto WoW >_> and I won't be able to try again for 10 days (family vacation).

long story short, thurs midnight i was happily playing. thurs. afternoon/evening parents reset my comp >_> which meant that Norton AV I had installed earlier was finally working, and some windows updates were installed. late thurs evening I try to log on and was stuck on 'connecting' (either 'unable to connect' or 'login server is down'). skimmed a few posts which suggested merging bnet acct with wow, so i created a bnet acct and merged, but that didn't work.

all that accomplished was forcing me to use a valid e-mail address as my new login acct, and getting me stuc at realm selection screen / logging onto game server.

other than using norton removal tool and reinstalling, I can't think of another approach =

We had range kill the bombs and aoe the scrapbots (the bombs blow up the scrapbots too) and just offtank the big robots. Melee DPS was on the boss, then the heart when it came down. Don't let the bombs get to the melee/tank and yell at people who bomb the raid.

Finally had a good night with NO disconnects for once!! We downed Korogon, Auyrela (cat lady.. OMG fuck that boss... jeesus), Hodir, Thorim, Razorscale (yeah we skipped him cause we knew he would be easy).

We had SOOO many wipes on that Cat lady boss. That pull pretty much makes/breaks the fight and we kept fucking it up.

Hodir was a 1-shot. He was pretty easy since we fought him the most on the PTR.

Thorim took a few tries to get right. LOL at 1 shotting tanks near the end.
