nice 0% wipe on Council Steelbreaker last on 10 man today
and then BAM back at 15% when someone dies due to detonate
fight is gonna be a PITA on 25 man
The 25 man fight is easymode if you kill the big guy first, then middle, then small. Only the big guy hits hard at all, and that's easily dealt with by rotating cooldowns and being quick to dispel fusion punch.
I think they were attempting the hard mode So far I haven't seen many reports from guilds completing this mode with Steelbreaker last on 25 man.

Im curious what everyone's raid comp is for 10 man Ulduar.
We start off 2 Tanks (Prot Warrior, Feral Druid), Melee DPS (Arms Warrior, Enh Shaman, DK, Rogue), Ranged DPS (Mage, Warlock) and 2 Healers (Resto Shaman, Holy Pally).
We 1 shot the 1st 4 bosses, but found Kologarn and Iron Council to be particularly unfriendly to 2 healers and end up swapping arms warrior's main for his disc priest alt. Beyond the 1st 4 bosses, in Uld 10, do you all see 3 healers as a necessity?

Hmmmm, sent in a ticket about so many of my chars talent points being fubared, and I don't see an email from blizz this morning. Either they are at the point of blowing these type of reports off, or they are really backlogged with tickets.
I sent a ticket in for my warlock and got the talent reset in couple hours. Then I went to Ulduar on my priest on tuesday, get in vehicle for flame levithan and when we get to XT, half of my talent point got reset. /sigh

Did a 10 man Ulduar run last night, finished up at Freya. Is it just me, or did they nerf the hell out of everything and make it simple for players? When it originally came out, it just seemed like everything took a lot longer to kill. It's not like any of us had any major gear upgrade which make it easier or anything...

Did they nerf Emalon's Lightning Nova? I've done him on 25-man and it's like Loken's (has infinite range), but last night on 10 man, I moved maybe 15 yards out and took no damage from the nova.
Also, the nerfs to his adds make them so fucking easy that if you have all competent people, you can simply range them down (given a decent amount of ranged). We were killing them at maybe 5 stacks of the buff and not all of our DPS was uber.

So are you commonly switching between 2-3 healers depending on fight? Like would it be better if during the Kologarn fight that I would go Resto and help heal (since there's a ton of AoE damage)?

Ulduar is no longer challenging. Not that it was a challenge to begin with, but with all the rolling start nerfs, Bliz has turned Ulduar into another Naxx. I really need a good reason to keep me playing this game, 'cause it's sucking really hard right now.

we've always kept our rogues 100% on emalon... between feint and CloS, we can mostly ignore the lightning novas.

pretty much. our 25-man DKP system makes it easy for 2nd specs to gear up decently, so we take advantage of it as much as possible.

-any heirloom items worth it other than the shoulders? the 2H axe looks cool but you can't runeforge it; I was also thinking about the +haste trinket that restores 2% HP after each kill.

Did some reading of blue stuff about ulduar. Looks like they are planning on getting it so it's just slightly more of a challenge than naxx as they liked the number of people that went there. So if you are in a progression guild expect the changes to continue till you're farming the place in the next week or so.
For the raiding is srs buiz epeen crowd, they are totally relying on the hard modes to be the progression challenge (and only giving you an hour per week to work on it is one way of doing that. )

we finally figured out a good pull strat for Auriaya... used our 3 rogues and a distract rotation to keep 2 cats in place while Auriaya + the other two cats pathed away. wtfzerged down the 2 cats when she was far out and had them dead before she got to us. simplified the pull a shitton. we also utilized the fearward rotation on a priest + mass dispell tactic.
took her down 2nd pull last night and jumped from server 11th to 6th  we'll be 3rd if we can take down Mimiron tonight I'm going to start pestering my raid leaders about starting hard modes too... I'm sure we can at least do FL pretty easily and XT as well with the right raid group.
decided to give up on my fist/sword experiment, though. respec'd back to fist/dagger and used my filler points to grab improved throwing for the thorim arena.
