I had to deal with my account getting swiped via email. Which took foooorever. Since I don't play a lot any more it wouldn't have been a terrible thing. But, all I need for my holiday meta and drake was children's week. I got hacked the night before it started and didn't get access again till it was over. Le sigh

Ruby Sanctum...have any of you beat it yet? We tried with a couple different guild groups yesterday for a couple hours (and a few puggers in there, too), but we were having troubles with even the first mini boss, Baltharus the Warborn.We looked up a couple things online, but we were having a terrible time with timing and managing the tanks and melee. I was the OT and we had a couple melee DPS that wouldn't back up during the bladestorm and during the debuff that stacked on several of us, the MT would take massive amounts of damage just as the boss would send people flying and stunning them. I am a human warrior so I used Everyman For Himself to un-stun and tried to pick up the clone as well as the main boss since the MT would usually die right then. Our longest fight was 1 minute and 56 seconds! :awe:

We didn't have the highest hopes as our official attempt will be on Friday night, but I spent over 120G yesterday on repairs over a couple hours. It was more of a "look around and learn" event for the guildies as we would swap them out as it wasn't a planned event. My GS is 5.2K (I know, right?) and the other MT with more raiding experience was also 5.2, but a DK instead. We had 2 healers, 2 tanks, and 6 DPS, but I wasn't anywhere near the bottom so I know our DPS was pretty bad, too.

Anyways, just thought I'd share my thoughts and experiences. Anyone have some tips for Friday night's run? :twisted:

We got to halion phase 3, but because it wasn't scheduled we had to pug 2 healer (shudder)

needless to say our guild druid was literally doing 45% of all the healing according to recount.

Did you call them during off hours or during primetime? Also I've had more success in the past dealing with their e-mail support than their phone support.

My server was one of those on the 24 hr list yesterday. It finally came up around 2:45 EST (server time is in EST).

I did a guild run of RS10 normal (w/ 2 puggers) and it took us a couple hours to down everything. New bosses plus semi crappy pug tank = 2 hours of wipes. I think this will be a tough fight to PUG for 25m for a little while. It's definitely a fun fight, but you gotta pay attention.

Also, if anyone can confirm this, it seems like there is no option to leave up the 1, 2, or all of the minibosses to get more bonus loot is there? Seems like you have to kill the minibosses in order for Halion to appear.

I can't call them during off hours because I work during those. I can't take off of work to fix a WoW account issue. Regardless, I haven't even received an email from support and it has been 3 days since I've sent one in. That is unacceptable. Also, just for shits and giggles, I called just now. 2:38PM CST, hold queue full.

Sorry to hear that, but like I said with all the server downtime the phonelines were probably flooded for a while.

Last time I had to contact them, what I ended up doing was calling them on my workphone and leaving it on speakerphone while working so that I could hear when they picked up (wait time was 25 minutes). This was after someone had hacked my account; once I did get someone on the phone they resolved my issue. I agree with you that they need more CS reps though.

Or the common people, the non-elite, just get confused and flood the phonelines asking when the server will be back up or try and get money refunded to their account. People are stupid when it comes to stuff like that, after working in a call center before I have this over time hehehe.

So I tried RS on my Pally (tank) and it doesn't seem too terribly bad, although we kept wiping on Failion. The other tank didn't really get how to move with the lasers and kept moving him way too much at a time, which kept killing everyone... or people would just die to the lasers lol.

Drakkonid guy was probably the most annoying mini-boss in there... people really need to learn to spread out when they get the crap on them and it really sucks when one melee gets it, because all melee will end up getting it.

I was expecting to not see much of an increase in gear over 5 levels. But it seems were going to see about the same we've seen for other expansions. Of course it's going to be a hard comparison considering the gear with the changes to pure str/sta/agi/int/spi.

It's always been discussed that it will be similar to a 10 level expansion, as they are doing a BC like jump to many stats to fix balance issues due to the epeen pvp play. The only area where this is supposed to be peeled back is that they have supposedly "learned" from the gear explosion on have different sets for 10 & 25 mans at regular and heroic levels.


There was also a mention that they wanted epic to feel epic again, but we'll have to wait and see what that actually means.
