i'm interested in getting an entry level racing suit for track days and days where i'm JUST riding, not commuting.

i was interested in the Alpinestars CR suit and the AGV Sport Willow suit

Has anyone had experience with either of these suits or know someone who has? The Astars Trigger was also recommended to me, but is a little out of my price range.

A* makes good stuff. I'd go with their suit if it fits well.

Have you tried them both on? Man, I tried on a Dianese suit once and could barely get that thing off after. I practically had to call someone to come help me. Didn't help that it was hot as hell in the changing room, must have been 100 degrees outside and in the mid 80s in that changing area with the sun beating on that corner of the building and there I am standing in a leather suit, sweating and trying to get this thing off before I pass out.

I haven't tried either of those, but I'd go with A* just because my preference for other gear (they make the best non-900 dollar boots available imo and their gloves aren't bad either.) Also, any suit with a hump is gonna be hell to wear a backpack with, if you ever decide too; just something to keep in mind.

Also, as far as removing leathers, invest in a undersuit, like a Psycleskin. Your leathers will fly off, even if you've been outside in 100 degree weather all day.

i had my measurements taken and sent it to the retailer (Revzilla.com, not Astars) and they said both the AGV and Astars Trigger should fit well. One suit I was interested in, the Cortech Latigo, they said would be a little too big for me on account of its more generous cut.

I'm interested in the Astars CR suit since it's on clearance (its from 2008)

I know, I was just trying them on in the store during my lunch break. I think I had a t-shirt on, I don't remember.

I bought a Cortech suit and don't regret it. It isn't a top of the line $1000 A* suit but it does the great job for about half the price.

yeah i'm looking at $500-600 one-piece suits. the Astars Trigger is $800 - too much for me.

Have you looked at Motogp suits? If they even make suits. I had a motogp compression kangaroo suit, but ended up going spidi. You really should try them in person for the real fit.

Oh, and the "compression" type clothing from under armour or the like does wonders for getting in and out and being comfortable in your suit.

In that case I would recommend looking into the Cortech suit. Fore me, it's very comfortable when on the bike and it doesn't hamper transitions from side to side on either my GS500 or the Street Triple R, but YMMV. If you look on Youtube there's a clip/review from when the MotoGP rider who wears the suit went down and the damage that it received as well as a pretty decent review of the consumer level suit.

The suit is: Cortech Latigo RR One-Peice Racing suit
