sorry, but my non-beliefs are priceless. If you mean, by 'go to church' attend it regularly and talk with the people of the parish about their beliefs, fuck no. Sorry.

all "go to church" means, is well, to go to church.
Maybe there'd be a requirement not to be an asshole (and thus risk getting kicked out ), and maybe one of not sleeping.
But surely talking to fellow church-goers cannot be a requirement. There's no requirement to be social in anything one does in life.

My biggest issue in such a case would be preventing myself from raising my hand and asking the preacher some heretical line of questions.

Hey nonbelievers. If some crazy Christian Billionaire offered you $50,000 if you went to church on every Sunday for a year, would you do it?

I am not an atheists but I am not surprised most would. After all, it is not like they have a moral code to live by so participating in something they don't believe in for profit shouldn't be a problem.

I sure would take ~$960/hr to sit there. Hell if they doubled it I'd stand up and speak in tongues!

How is it amoral to get paid to sit in a church quietly (assuming I'm not being a distraction)? Is my heathen scent going to offend the believers!?

Can it be any church, and does it have to be the same church every week? I could make it fun by trying out different types of churches for a year.

No moral code? You have to subscribe to religion to have morals?
what?

There is no "participation" requirement in church. Most just go there and get talked at by some fancy man.

And most of the participation one can do hardly requires belief in a higher power.
Social functions, donations, volunteer work - all great things to do, and requires no spiritual beliefs. I've volunteered (not through a church), and think volunteer work is a damn good thing. Doing something, anything, for your community, city, state, or nation, is something everyone should almost be required to do imho.

I retract my previous post, as I clearly forgot about Frank Zappa's homage to the
Catholic girls
With a tiny little mustache
Catholic girls
Do you know how they go?
Catholic girls
In the rectory basement
Father rileys a fairy
But it don't bother mary
Catholic girls
At the cyo
Catholic girls
Do you know how they go?
Catholic girls
There can be no replacement
How do they go, after the show?

Joe:
All the way
That's the way they go
Every day
And none of their mamas ever seem to know
Hip-hip-hooray
For all the class they show
There's nothing like a catholic girl
At the cyo
When they learn to blow...

Father riley:
They're learning to blow
All the catholic boys!

Mary:
Warren cuccurullo...

Father riley:
Catholic boys!

Mary:
Kinda young, kinda wow!

Father riley:
Catholic boys!

Mary:
Vinnie colaiuta...

Chorus:
Where are they now?
Did they all take the vow?

Father riley:
Catholic girls

Warren:
Carmenita scarfone!

Father riley:
Catholic girls

Officer butzis:
Hey! she gave me vd!

Father riley:
Catholic girls!

Warren:
Toni carbone!

Chorus:
With a tongue like a cow
She could make you go wow!

Joe:
Vd vowdy vootie
Right away
That's the way they go
Every day
Whenever their mamas take them to a show
Matinee
Pass the popcorn please
There's nothing like a catholic girl
With her hand in the box
When she's on her knees

Larry:
She was on her knees,
My little catholic girl

Chorus:
In a little white dress
Catholic girls
They never confess
Catholic girls
I got one for a cousin
I love how they go
So send me a dozen
Catholic girls
Ooooooh!
Catholic girls
Ooooooh!
(etc.)

For $50k I will attend any meeting and claim to be anything you want.

Oh, thread title does not match thread. To do something for a year... eh, yeah I probably would. Even if it was "wear blackface and attend KKK meetings for a year" I would consider it. Considering that's more than enough money to live on for an entire year, it just doesn't take a ton of considering.

Keep in mind I am differentiating between attending KKK meetings and actually being a KKK member.

Even at the worst possible literal interpenetration of this poll that I must attend church from 00:00-23:59 on Sunday it's still $40/hour.

So yes.
