Consider upgrading to a SLK-800 instead, I'm running @ 40C at load with a YS-Tech fan @ 45 cfm.

The SK-7 should do well, it performs nearly as well as the SLK-800, but it's cheaper ($20 for the 7 vs. $35 for the 800 at SVC)
Can't go wrong with either, though

for the money, and if you dont plan on overclocking much, the sk-7 should be fine (its certainly at least as good as an amd stock heatsink)

all depends on how much you intend to overclock.

I run a 2400xp with currently no overclock with a pretty cheap Taisol GCK760xxx, fan swapped to a only marginally better & quieter one, and usually sit at around 40/45C (idle/full load), and my mobo generally considered to overstate temps a little. window open and cool air coming in its sitting right now at 37C... If you intend to do a fair bit of overclocking though, run a really quiet fan or just have the cash, a SLK seems to get the vote.

I don't think there will ever be a SocketA CPU that you can't cool with an SK-7. I also like the clip... it grips three lugs on each end of the socket, more than compensating for its weight, and I can engage/disengage the clip with my bare hands.

If you get one, do make sure to slide it as far away from the raised end of the CPU socket as possible before you clip it down, or it may ride up on the solid end of the CPU socket and not be able to land flat on your CPU (bad).
