They dont take amex? Wierd. I had planned on using my paypal Amex to get the 1.5% back for a bulk order from them but couldn't wait for my bank transfer to go through. So I guess it's just as well I decided not to wait.

Warranty:

All products, except for CPU, memory, refurbished products, and non-refundable items are warranted for replacement or refund for 30 days from the invoice date. CPU, memory, and refurbished products are warranted only for replacement or refund for 7 days from the invoice date. 15% restocking fee applies to all returns for refund.

How the hell can I possibly test a cpu within 7 days for which haven't yet the motherboard? If it's DOA, I'm stuck! Nobody online should offer less than 14 days... nobody! I'll be lucky if I even get the cpu within 7 days!

Nice to know, but still, eWiz should not create obstacles to a legitimate return. Their 7 day policy makes them look like slick used car salesmen, especially considering that's 7 days from the invoice date. Don't forget, they ship by ground for the free shipping option.

Edit: I should point out that I did order it over the weekend but didn't notice the warranty statement until later. I didn't want to purchase the motherboard right away because I'm still not sure I want to buy a new video card for a pci-e. I don't game much anymore so I've been noticing the Radeon X300 for about $70.

@ $115 plus the Overclocking potential the 3000+ has, Intel has ZERO chance on that matchup...(Price/Perf)

I ordered one for a friend who definetly doesn't need something this fast, but it was so cheap I couldn't pass it up.

Would it be worth it to give her my 3200+ Winchester and keep this Venice 3000+? My RAM doesn't like to be OCd too much, so I'm not sure if it would be...

After the 30 days (7 days for CPU and memory) replacement for refund period, defective parts may be returned to ewiz.com for repair according to the following warranty period:

? Hard-drive: 1 year from invoice date
? Motherboard: 1 year from invoice date
? Memory: 1 year from invoice date
? AMD CPU OEM: 6 months from invoice date
? AMD CPU Retail: 3 months from invoice date
? Intel CPU OEM & Retail: 3 months from invoice date

Have bee looking at the CHAINTECH S1689 and the CHAINTECH VNF4/Ultra, but dont know what to get...not too much into overclocking or PCIe so any suggestions?
