Athlon 64 3000+ and Albatron Board Help plz

Whats the minimum PSU Wattage for an Athlon 64 3000+ ?

I just built an Athlon 64 3000+
2x 256 PC3500 Mushkin ram
Albatron K8X800 Pro II board
Antec 350 watt PSU
ATI 9600 XT

On boot up it randomly says CPU error through the PC speaker...
When it does boot up it boots up fine...

Wondering what would cause it to sporradically boot up like this...
PSU issue? RAM?

Tha PSU, even if just a smart power, is sufficient to run that system@stock speeds so my money is on a ram issue. You can increase the voltage and see if it stops being flakey, if needed relax the timings as well because timings do not impact performance significantly on the A64. That means relaxing them to increase stability is far preferable than a percentage point or 2 difference in performance.

It runs fine in Windows when it does post properly....

Let me adjust the memory timings and see.

Don't be afraid to increase the ram voltage a little too. How does the CPU voltage look when you monitor it? Do you have the latest bios for your board? That can all resolve boot up issues like you are experiencing.

I was getting the same error message with a matrox video card installed.
I put in an nvidia card and it works now.
