Seems like a good deal for $126-129, depending on the day of the week. I have read about the CBBID not having good o/c but the poster above proves otherwise. ay have to get this now because RA prices have come down just in time for a new PC or HTPC build. Thanks OP

Wow $10 price drop within a day. I guess with the new rev. E coming out, prices will begin to drop even further. To bad the price of the 3200 doesn't drop as often as the 3000.

I like the free games with the combo. But have no use for the mobo offerings. Which motherboard has the best resale value? With making a savings on not having to buy the games.

How much do you figure the games are worth? I am thinking about either the Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe or the MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum SLI and I do not care much about the games right now. Just thinking about the SLI option to "future proof" the system.

I'm in there. Haven't upgraded my CPU/Motherboard combo for about a year and a half. $119...I can afford. Have to find a good cheap mobo to put it in, now.

Most nforce4 mobos have very good performance and great overclocking features. Some of them are also quite cheap. I hear the Chaintech VNF4 is good and also the Gigabyte atre cheap and good. For micro ATX, I recommend the FoxConn NF4K8MC-ERS ($79) which has good performance and can even overclock a little (I got 15% overclock using it).

with all the money you spend buying dozens of cheap winchesters, can't you just buy the top of the line fx-55 and have the best perfomance once and for all without having to spend so much time and effort finding the best overclocking chips ?

if you're building a new rig and buying cpu+mobo and also a video card like 6800GT (Monarch has good prices on them) and other parts like memory, then you may want to know that if you spend more than $800 and pay with american express card, you get 10% off. So especially if you're doing sli (2 video cards) you will probably reach tham limit. See this thread for details.

I was looking at these when they were 119, but when I tried the CPU/Mobo combo pricing (with HL2, FC, etc) it showed $129 for the processor.

trevor2k, noticed the same thing. I emailed Monarch sales through their online form but haven't heard anything back. I want the combo deal but it's supposed to be the same price as the stand-alone OEM processor!
