you should do a search and read 3200 vs 3500 threads before posting.

3500 oc'd is definitely worth the extra money

your joking right. the real world difference youd never be able to tell.

Well, if you get lucky, you can overclock this Winchester to 2.6 GHz or farther, and I've even heard of people using this processor to surpass the speed of a stock-clocked FX-55, making you the proud owner of the fastest x86 processor on the planet . The price has recently inflated $60 but it's on its way down again, at least on newegg.com it dropped $6 since a few days ago.

do what you want troll, im not forcing you to buy it.

FuturePowerPC claims they had it in stock on the website. I even called and some guy said "Yes, we have it in stock." I asked if he was sure and he said, " It's nice to be king for a day."
So I ordered, next day still wasn't listed as shipped, I called again, Guy, different this time, said "no, we don't have any stock and will be shipping out on the 19th", I then canceled the order. Any site that claims to have an Item then doesn't, does not get my buisness.

I have been looking for this Processor, retail for a couple of weeks now, the only thing I can find is that most will get some on the 15th. I am going to have to wait a few more days.

It sucks to have everything but the engine on hand to start my build.

Hunter Viking, I am in the same boat -- been looking for a couple of weeks -- no luck. I have called FuturePowerPC several times during the past two weeks and some sales reps say it is in stock, some say it is not. I even ordered it once -- waited two days and called them bacK. "OH SORRY IT IS ON BACK ORDER", so I cancelled my order. Didn't want to do business with FuturePowerPC to begin with but they were the only game in town. Bottomline I won't deal with them again for ANY reason -- too many GOOD online merchants to deal with.

If you find one soon please let me know.

I'd stay away from Monarch. They have the slowest service/shipping since the 17th century. I ordered an athlon 64 combo over a week ago and they have yet to ship it. I ordered my parts from CrazyPC and Newegg on the same day I ordered from Monarch and I received already.

Ordered my Neo2 & 3200+ on Wed, was in the mail on Thur and received on Monday...great service, free games and additional warrenty for a little extra $$...Nice.

I would speak highly of them.

muhahahaa.... you can actually overclock the A64 just fine with the stock fan, mine never goes above 47C even at full load 2.4 ghz, so I'm not sure why you'd need a better hsf. In any case, this zalman hsf is not really better than the stock one, it's just quieter.

No problems with Monarch here. I ordered my Athlon 3500+ and a mobo on Tuesday using the free ground shipping option. I get an email Wednesday that it's being shipped out that night w/ 2 day delivery. So far, tracking has it as arriving Friday. Woohoo!! Much better than what I had expected.

Totally agreed. We bought a $4,000 server from Monarch and it took a MONTH to get it. That did NOT include an OS, either!

When you use the original AMD HSF, it sends a code to the CPU documenting that the AMD OEM HSF is used. And if you are connected online, it sends the code to AMD's database computers. The telemarketing companies are connected to AMD's network. If an aftermarket HSF is used it sounds an alarm to the telemarketing company's computers. As a result those telemarketers call us in behalf of AMD during dinner and bug us if we want to change our long distance carrier, etc, etc. That's how AMD gets its revenge.

It's true.

C'mon... it's possible but I can't believe it's true. What if you don't connect it to the web?

I ordered a 6800 from monarch months ago when they were scarce and they had some of the fastest shipping ive ever experienced.

Oh man, the prices shot up. The OEM at Monarch is 297 and the retail at FPC is 299.

Must be "on sale" at Monarch. Yesterday it shot up to $298. Now it's $1 off! Call now, operators are standing by!

Apparently if you call Monarch and complain, they will honor the $251 price for the 3500+ 90nm. I never in my wildest dreams imagined that they would do this, so I never even considered calling them even though I too was pissed about the price shooting up to $297. Instead, I settled on the 3200+ from ZZF for $203. Hope it OC's well so I can blow past even 3500+ speeds! (more like up to FX-55 speeds I hope)
