Haha, my friend just bought a similar combo from AccessMicro, except he got an ABit mobo instead of the EPoX one. The hsf was glued onto the mobo so dat ur not supposed to take it off. However, when we noticed dat the temp's going higher than its supposed to be, we took off the glue n the hsf n found out there's nothing between teh cpu n the hsf--no thermal grease, pads, etc....nothing! There's a clear, rectangular burnt mark on teh bottom of the hsf, n clear signs of abrasions, like the chip has been scraping the hsf the entire time. We had to wipe contact area clean cuz there was some oxidation tarnish around, n then put on the Arctic Silver II ourselves. Now I'm not sure if they do dis only for the ABit mobo, but I'd also get a couple syringes of AS II as well, just incase u notice dat teh cpu's going at like 80 degree Celsius
Btw The Volcano 6 is a decent hsf, but I think the
Volcano 7's better cuz the fan on it actually covers the entire hs. Either get dat or the
Alpha PAL8045 HS n a 48.5CFM YS-Tech 4-pin Fan combo. I've been using this combo for a few months now n my comp's temp has never risen above 36 degree celsius
