Hey ChrisCramer247, it'll be a long wait:
Newsflash from a couple of weeks ago: Barton won't come out until (Jan-Mar) 2003, instead of December 2002
and Hammer won't come out until (Mar-June) 2003, instead of January 2003.

Also, there'll be three (!) versions of Athlon XP 2000+
People talk about this but I've never seen a comprehensive list, so I made one,
Here you are:

No, if you go to pricewatch.com you'll see that the highest 200 FSB they have listed is 1.2GHz Athlon Thunderbird, (That's Athlon XP's (Palominos 266FSB) predecessor.) You need a new motherboard and probably new DDR memory to take full advantage of Athlon XP. Fry's & Newegg.com had ECS K7S5A motherboard dirt cheap for around $50, so that's your cheapest option.

I ordered 2 and figure I can try and fight, called once and was not told no but told to call back in the morning
Its back ordered so I have a day. I figure I'll hit em with one last flurry of crap about customer service and first time customer and some other tricks and if all else fails cancel the order.

You cant win if you dont play

Hope others are more lucky than I so far

Don't worry this is typical of Outpost. They probably have the fastest shipping on the net. If you get your order in before midnight it will ship out that same day. Since I live in Ohio the same state that they ship out of I can order at 11:30 pm and have my order shipped ground and I'll get it like at 10am the next day.

Outpost shipping rocks!!

REAL HOT!

I don't know how, but mine arrived just now!?! I live near Allentown PA. I guess they ship from there. I ordered last night too.

This is the fastest shipping I have EVER seen. Total bill? 77.94. I chose overnight BTW.

This deal is HOT. Now, lets hope it works.

Outpost is really confused! Late last night the Description page showed $69, but at checkout is showed $109. Today the description page shows $109, but the checkout page shows $69. Also last night a sales rep said it was a price mistake and that they were out of stock anyway. Well I just ordered two @ $69.99 each, they show in stock, and I recieved an order #. Now I just hope that it goes through and I get them on Friday.
