Ok its still showing the same thing the website says 109.99 but when you click add to cart its 69.99. they really need to fix this and the website does say backordered. I believe that Anandtechers killed their site...lol

As of 9/26...the website says it's 69.99 again. And if you add to cart it still shows 69.99. Looks like it might be alive again!! Hurry and get while you can!

A Couple of questions: What is the AGOIA core, and how does it differ from say athlon xps?

What is a good heat sink and fan to use with this chip, and where is a good place to purchase it from? Any idea or estimates of cost of these? I'm thinking if a retail version comes with a fan and heat sink AND a three year warranty for just a little more money it might be worth it....thanks....

Woot! Just got mine finally. It's an AROIA core, though looks like what core you get is left to the picker's whim. Strangley, the website lists them as 69.99 again, but they are 'unavailable'

Anyone have a link to some core comparisons?

Love and kisses,

>>> A Little More Money??? Retail XP 2000+ is $129.00 at outpost (lowest is $102 on PW). OEM at outpost is $69 (assuming they ship, I am still back ordered from yesterday.). That's more than a few bucks.... Just get theOEM CPU for $69 and the $6 HSF mentioned earlier in this thread and be happy. The OEMs have a 30 day Warranty from outpost and 1 year warranty from AMD... Odds are you won't even own this CPU in a Year (let alone 3.)

Go the cheap route save some money and smile

This was an awesome deal and congrats to everyone who got it. Good luck to anyone waiting to get one, but why not get a 1600 AGOIA from Newegg for $52.99 with a decent heatsink and overclock? Just my thoughts.

This deal isn't dead, yet. I just tried adding it to my cart and the $69 changed to $109 as before. I called Greg in customer service and he put the order through at $69 and apologized about the problems with the website.

Well.. I just got mine. 1 of each (brown and green). 1 is the AGOIA and the other AROIA. Let me get this straight. If I keep one, keep the AGOIA, correct? That's the better OC'er if I'm correct. I just want to be sure.

I am begining to wonder how this will play out. I am still back ordered from yesterday AM. The site is still currently letting people order it for $69.99 even though it's "Unavailable". I assume those orders go into back orders as well..

So if they just keep taking orders I assume that means they plan to honor the orders and ship them.....

Ok so after monitering this thread I just went to the website. The xp 2000 said 69.99 so I said add to cart. It said 69.99 in the cart also

so I thought I'd better jump on it. I placed my order and recieved an email with my receipt that said 69.99 also. But then I went on the

website to see my order and it said it was 109.99. So I called and he said it was really 109.99 and it's in the middle of a price change. I

told him I bought it for 69.99 and have a receipt that says that. He said sorry there is nothing he could do. So I cancelled my order and

ordered a xp1600 from newegg for 52.99. So good luck for anybody that tries, but it didnt work for me.

Also, is it legal for them to do that? Even though i bought it for 69.99 and my receipt said 69.99? I'm not sure on the laws about this.

The "transaction" has not taken place until money has changed hands. If they have NOT charged your card, they can change the price according the legal listings on the website. THEIR legal statement doesnt seem to address price errors though. Most web sites have that in to cover their butts in this case.

To sum up: If they charged your card, the transaction has taken place and they can't change squat. Otherwise, the ball is in their court.

Yes !!

Just talked to Outpost and I told them I had a picture of the web site showing the 69.99 and it showed the same time I ordered it and they said they would
honor the 69.99 price on the 2 I ordered after I emailed it which I did . Its backordered of course so how long?
I was also told I would receive a new invoice changing the price from $109 to $69.

My gamble currently looks to be paying off but until I get them nothing is assured

How long do backordorders take....weeks, months?

Nick,
When I called I asked when they would get more. The guy said in about a week. Congrats on getting the price. I wasn't so lucky.

I got the same call this afternoon...this bites...but at least they gave me an option. I still don't like the fact that their website shows 69.99.
