Athlon XP 2500+ running slowly

I recently upgraded my mobo and CPU. The CPU is 1833mhz, but the BIOS and various benchmarking software all report it running at 1100mhz.

My hardware is as follows:

Motherboard: Gigabyte K7 Triton GA-7n400 Pro2 w/1gb RAM
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2500+ (Barton)

I've set the FSB in the BIOS to 166mhz, and the CPU still runs at 1100mhz. I've tried setting FSB using the overclocking software that came with the mobo, but after rebooting, it's right back to 1100mhz (and the software claims the FSB is at 100mhz, even though when I check the setting in the BIOS, it's 166).

Anyone have any experience with this mobo/CPU combo?

maybe there is jumpers on the motherboard that have to be set first, then set the bios and save and reboot.

Now, next question:

The Gigabyte K7 Triton comes with overclocking software called EasyTune4. Anyone have any experience with it? The default skin, while hard to describe, contains a big LCD-like display in the center displaying CPU speed. Immediately below this is a panel containing Default, Save, Load and Easy Mode buttons. After playing with the software for a while, suddenly a chrome-like cover closed over this panel, and I can no longer access the controls. I can't find anything in the EasyTune4 help file about this. Anybody out there have experience with this that can tell me what's going on?

As for Easytune depending on what BIOS you have certain features do and don't work, again, if you checkout the link above you will see how much it will affect your board. Also just so you know, in case you don't go to that site, if you update your BIOS from the stock one your temps will read about 10-15C high, this is normal and your temps are really not that high. My personal experience with easy tune has been trying some soft OC's before I set them in stone. Also Easytune reads your AGP and PCI speeds incorrectly if you OC, they are locked, but Easytune will report that they are not. Another note is if you want to reach the timings of your memory in the BIOS press control+F1 in the main screen. If you have any questions feel free to ask away.
