Can't say for sure (although 99.9%) but i don't think it will work.

KT133A is the farthest back you can go with an AXP. (for Via) or you can get SiS 735 or something

but KT133 likely won't run an AXP
and if it does, it'll have to be unlocked to run at 100 FSB... = poo.

It works, but not at full speed.

My A7V 1.02 with 1012 beta 001A bios works fine with the new thoroughbred XP 1700+. Mine is running at 100*12.5=1250mhz since that's the maximum multiplier I can achieve.

I was trying to enable the "high bit" of the cpu, but so far it was unsuccessful. I searched the web, but all the forums are dealing with palomino core instead of t-bred.
The thing is if I enable the high bit of t-bred, I can access the multiplier higher than 12.5, which means instead of underclocking my XP to 1250mhz, I can set it as 100*15mhz for better performance.

Does anyone know how to enable the high-bit for T-bred?

is it not done by disconnected the last L3 bridge?

enableing the low mults for higher tbreds you have to connect it, so i would imagine disabling the bridge would enable higher mults

Well, I have been thinking about that too, but I didn't hear any story about that yet, so I feel hesitate to do so.
The thing I worry is that I don't know if I can manually set the multiplier if I cut the last L3 bridge.

You guys are all losers ** no violence intended
i've ran an xp in my a7v kt133 motherboard
you just have to unlock the cpu to up the mult
like i had an xp1700+
so it ran 1.1ghz which is 33% slower than it's default 1.46Ghz
the only bad thing is the maximum clock mult is 12 to maybe 14 depending on which bios version
but having a slower running cpu ain't bad either
and if you lower the voltage
it becomes a nice upgrade from a lowerend duron
when those boards first came out

all T-breds and the upcoming barton should run perfect on the board
it supports a low enough voltage

it just tops out at maybe 110mhz fsb if you got a good power supply
so you do the math if you can get higher than 12.5 clock mult

the bad thing is it reads the cpuid at boot time
so you can't do the 13 or 13.5 clock mults that the newer bios have
...
...

but it's all good have fun
