Most of the web shows the 4780 competing well with the GTX260 & encroaching on GTX280 territory.

While HardOCP declares an OC'd 9800GTX the best buy.

Well they haven't done a 4850 review yet, so maybe they won't even acknowledge the 4xxx series exists

i never liked the ridiculous box "art" they have on cards.
Yes, well, thankfully you can't see the tacky-looking stickers if the card face is pointed down at the bottom of the case.

Personally, I'm not too impressed by the ridiculous Alpha Dog and "triple-X" crap that XFX uses. (Way to only market to teenage boys, guys!) MSI's new orc berserker mascot is pretty over the top too, but not especially offensive.

Foxconn - I don't know what to say about their art, other than that it shows clear signs of LSD influence. It's just bizarre.

Most of the other stuff, like art from game franchises and the abstract stuff that PNY and HIS use is pretty innocuous. The Powercolor paladin/samurai gal, I also don't mind.

I am always bothered by it, but then I think "well, the advertisers are actually correct at targeting 14 year old boys, because I would be buying a card based on performance, regardless of what the box art looks like. Any work they do to appease me with the card's looks is wasted money and effort on their part. (now if it was a visible part of the computer, like the case, monitor, or keyboard...)

I am still waiting for a card that will fit in my case. It is pretty big but I barely managed to shove an 8800GTS 512 monstrosity in there (compared to my previous card, the 7900GS).
It has been far too long since a card was made that could fit in my case. maybe next time I would get one with removeable HDD cages (now that I use a fileserver I only need one HDD in my gaming PC).
