Power Color is a Taiwanese Company, that is where all ATI cards are made. It will be exactly like the ATI card trust me.

ummm, but looks like 185 is still a good price for a retail card w/ all the cables and stuffs....all other 8500 for this price range I see on pricewatch is OEM....grrrrrr forget it I can't afford it unless its back to 129

I don't suppose we have any rights her to make them ship us cards?
This was too good to be true.
Anyone get their card billed, I'm pretty sure they have obligation if they charge you.

Looks like they aren't going to honor the price the b@stards! Just got this email.

Is there anything we can do, any recourse to complain to or are we just plain out of luck? These companies who make these typos, and even post it as a special on their front page for crying out loud, should imo honor these prices since it is their fault and they did advertise as such.

Hmm, I wonder though, on second thought. Was it really a typo being on the front page of specials and all, or perhaps maybe they got wind of this thread and realized they could get away with charging more. Does anyone else sell the PowerColor Radeon 8500, not the one from ATI, and how much are they charging?

I mentioned in an earlier post , that Axion Technologies sells the same exact product for $213.

As far as making the company honor each of those orders, that would be nice for them to do.

However , if they really sold 150 cards as someone else said, and each card was underpriced by $56, that would be around $2800 the company would be losing for this mistake.

I dunno.....if I owned a small company , and I made the same mistake and had to choose what I'd do, I'd probably do the same thing.....kiss butt a little bit..... apologize to everyone......say how sorry we are.......but keep the $2800!!!!

That's a lot of money lost for a small typo. Geez, what if one of their employees made another mistake tommorrow? (maybe advertising a Geforce 3 Ti500 for $100).

They keep paying out for every mistake, they aren't going to be in business long.

Maybe they can send everyone an "apology" card in the mail with a free candy cane inside , instead

Well at least they could give us a $10 off coupon or something.

I dunno, losing that money hurts no doubt, but so does losing 150 potential future customers and creating negative word of mouth. We all know this board has a big effect sometimes (if nothing else, it points out those typos! ) so now next time someone asks about this place instead of getting a "Sure, they're a great company, shipped fast, no problems." they'll more than likely get "Don't order from those bastards they cancelled my order."

*shrug* I don't know if the future potential loss might be greater than the immediate one or not, but they could have tried a wee bit harder than 'Sorry, it was a typo. Your order's cancelled' to smooth things over.

Ah well, onto the next deal I guess, which hopefully won't be a typo!

Oh and btw they would not really be losing $55 a card as I assume they are still making a profit selling it @ $185, I'd say at least $10. I'd love to know how much Powercolor sells those cards for wholesale in bulk.

:|Not that it matters, I have already registered with resellerratings.com and evaluated them for this dastardly deed. It looks as if I am one of they only negative ratings they have gotten. I will also be sending them a very nasty email!!!! What burns my arse is that if this were a B&M, they would have to honor that price on people who asked for it until they corrected mistake.

To those that are defending these companies, maybe they should not (the web companies) hire highschool kids at minimum wage to setup and/or maintain their web pages. If this were my small business, I can assure you that I would be on top of everything!!!!

Proof read the damn pages before posting them, and if there is a mistake do not let it stay in effect for 3+ days!!!!!! If there is a mistake (listen up PCDynamic & Dell) honor it!!!!!!:|:|:|:|

I got my "Oops, sorry. [SHRUG]Typo[/SHRUG]. " e-mail too. A coupon or something would be nice. Now that they have my info, am I going to get swarmed with their junk e-mails? Is this the new holiday thing?

"If we put the item for less than the competition over the three day holiday period and put it at the top of the page like a hot deal, we can get info, and fall back on 'typo' and not honor the deals. No, it doesn't matter if we sent out the confirmation mails already. 'Typo', remember? That way we can screw up our good rep AND make people wary of purchasing from us ever again. Genius, eh?"

The wise thing would be to honor the deal, especially where the internet is concerned where you have places like this forum and Reseller Ratings sites that will never let anyone forget such an incident and it's going to leave a sour taste in many mouths for months to come.

In the long run the negative feedback is going to cost them more than what they stand to lose on this deal alone... I'll never shop there if they don't honor the deal and I buy lots of computer stuff.

OTOH, if they honor the deal that would be a great show of faith and integrity and people would preach how wonderful pcdynamic.com is....

Unfortunately you gotta take the good with the bad.

Everyone should go to http://resellerratings.com/ and evaluate this company. There are too many companies posting prices by mistake, which i can forgive if corrected swiftly and dealt with fairly. When is takes three days to correct and its even on you specials page, somethings not right. Give them the review you think they deserve.

Looks like their rating is crapping by the hour...correction, minute. Being PCDynamic is suck.
If they turned around and honored that deal they would be like (Jesus + Free stuff + more Free Stuff) = "E-tail Gawd" around here. But I don't see that happening. Too bad.

Before you crap their ratings you might at least try emailing and requesting they honor the deal. You never know...

I ordered this card early when they still had availabiity. I have not received my cancellation e-mail yet. I checked my order status online and nothing has changed. The Status still does not provide any information. It does not say cancelled, shipped, processing, or anything.

Oh well.. still crossing fingers.
