ATI 9000PRO AIW at Bests buy for $79.00 after rebate?

I'm not sure if this is a "HOT" deal or not but my local Best Buy has ATI 9000 PRO Radeons AIW's for $79.00 after rebate...ATI's site list them for $199.99...

But I heard the core/memory of the AIW 9000 pro is 275/550
while the AIW 8500DV is 230/380

So what makes the 9000pro worse?
Is the AIW 9000pro and non AIW 8500 (without DV) the same card performance wise?

It should be a fair amount faster than the AIW 8500DV 64MB, but a little slower than the AIW 8500 128MB. However, it uses the new Theatre 200 capture chip, so its VIVO functions should be better than either card since they're based on the older Rage Theatre chipset.

Couldn't find it on the BB web site...

So does this AIW 9000Pro with the Rage Theater 200 have hardware MPEG2? If it does then this would make it a good value vid card since a basic TV Tuner would already cost about $40-$50.

Went to BB and had the cashier price check it. It rang up at 199.99. I saw teh 9000Pro regular for $79 AR though... I think this was an isolated mistake.

yeah, I just got back from my BB and they had it for $199, no rebates. It would be a schweet deal though and I was definitely all over it if it was true. oh well, maybe they'll make a mistake like that at the local BB sometime

the 8500 is = to a 9100 the 9100 is just the 8500 brought back from the grave. f you are looking for proof just call ati. Hope this helps
