I thank the original poster for posting. Why do you have to bag on him. Maybe this was a price mistake that had 0% chance of going through, but it always opened up the possibility to PM to Staples or to use AMEX BVG. He was unselfish in his posting, maybe you could learn a thing or two from him!!!

And maybe if you guys didn't order 50 at a time, or call in to check on the deal, some of us could have at least attempted a PM. It's still a long shot, but I've seen plenty of people PM this item at Staples and have it go through. Guess we'll never know.

Damn I should have ordered 50, not 49, what was I thinking?

I'm eagerly awaiting my cancellation notice or a notice to offer it to me for full price.
Oh well, onto the next "deal." I think I'll pick up that Dell 18" Flat Panel to help ease the pain and suffering of another lost deal.
Don't get any ideas about calling Dell either. On second thought, better order quick before everyone starts calling. That's alright, you'll be on hold for a half an hour while I order 50.

My exact thoughts, there is always a slight chance, they do happen. Calling cuts that slight chance to 0. Someone could have gotten a PM from some dumass somewhere.

Honestly, I don't think people calling changed anything, and I wouldn't want to put this place out of business because of a typo. I expected my order to be cancelled and perhaps I would get a coupon of some sort.

We need a new forum called "PM deals", so people dont order from sites with price mistakes. If you know its a price mistake, and if you know the seller is a small player, how on earth would be make the dumbest mistake of losing money ????? I personally think one should not order from small business players on price mistakes, they are the best place to PM at.

I hesitate sometimes to post on this/these forums as there are mean-spirited lurkers who look for an opportunity to foul the ether with their vituperative posts. :disgust: (Notice how I cleaned that up?)

PS I would have posted you on the PM system if you had your mail turned on. At least this would have been less public (as I can feel the above mentioned sharpening their wits as they read this).

You do realize that, call or not, this deal would never had gone through, don't you? That's why I never even bother with these drastic pricing mistakes. Little place like this probably sells no more than five 9700Pro's a week and then they get 200+ orders in one morning.
