techbargains has this listed for $199 after MIR but no rebate amount wish I could see add for this. some people in another thread were talking about waiting untill tommorow and pricematch with bestbuy then use bb 10% off coupon.

Its in their weekend Ad. In store only I believe. PCIe... you will be waiting quite a while unless you get the first cards out which will be buggy and overpriced. I would get a top AGP and then in 18 months or so get a good PCIe.

nah...i would rather wait. my 8500 can last another few months. plus...with the r420/423 coming around the corner and the NV40...it will be interesting.

Ahhh I see the confusion. The sale starts today in Utah only. I just called and asked the sales guy and in Utah the CompUSA sales always start on Saturday. So, for the rest of you tomorrow is the day.

You can PM it with Microcenter too if you have it locally. It's 229.00 right now out the door. I PMed with them at BB and used my 10% off coupon to get mine for $206 out the door + tax

Just to save the lazy some trouble... here is the $30 MIR from ATI. Its only good at CompUSA...

MIRtype in 302460 in the SKU field and make sure the date is 2/15/04.

The one here in Atlamonte Springs (near Orlando) had 5 in stock (4 now). I picked one up tonight. No games in box, and the mem chips appear to by Hyundai? perhaps 2.8NS? Not sure. Also they didn't have any at all on the shelves, no mention of the product anywhere that I could see.

I got a low to mid 6000 on 3dmark2001 with the following setup

Catalyst drivers 4.2
AMD Duron 1.1 GHz
384MB PC133 RAM
Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB AGP

Doesn't that seem sorta low, 6kish even with my slow CPU? Are there any settings I should check to make sure everything is adjusted correctly? Also, I just got rid of an AGP GeForceFX 5200 128MB card, and that card had better FPS with Quake 2 than the 9800 Pro, does that sound right?

To add, before installing the Cat 4.2's, I used the latest version of driver cleaner, and cleared out the Cab files, then ran the driver cleaner, then rebooted and installed the Cat 4.2's.
