Iggymama, How did you manage to get it for $144.99?! By your explanation I don't see how it is possible to get the 9800 Pro at CC for less than about $270. How on earth did you get it down to $144.99!?

LOL! And it was his first post too! Either he is new at this whole pricematching thing, has terrible math skills, or is not telling the whole truth (maybe a combo of all 3?)!

LOL, yeah, I don't see how he could get it for less than:

$349 - $55 ($349 -$299 + 10% of the difference) - $50 MIR = $255 + tax. I don't see a $50 rebate. Even if he has an extra 10% discount GC post card or made the order during the 10% GC with $200 online deal, it would still be at least $349 - $55 - $50 MIR = $255 + a $29 gift card.

I think those are probably 9800 SE cards (Hercules) that have been modded to a 9800 Pro. Hercules used the 256-bit memory interface circuit board layout for their 9800 SE. Or it could possibly be an OEM 9800 non-pro modded to a 9800 Pro. Nowhere does it show a box labelled "Built by ATi" or even a real picture of the product he is selling.

You have to watch out on Ebay even with the best traders. Sometimes the accounts of even the most trustworthy traders gets compromised (maybe passwords get leaker etc.). A good sign of this is when they ask for Western Union for Money Order only on a hot item with a price too good to be true.

I'd probably say that is a strong possibility in this case, but then again, he's only been selling since sept '03, and in my opinion you need 2 things on ebay for me to buy: good feedback, and time in the pond.
