ATi AIW or Hercules AIW... what's the difference?

Is there any difference between the:

Hercules AIW Radeon 8500DV (64MB)
and the
ATi AIW Radeon 8500DV (64MB)

For example memmory speed etc???

Plz enlighten me

i believe the ati one only runs at 190 core 190 memory. the hercules one might actually be faster.

IIRC, the Hercules model is for the European market PAL/SECAM, The ATI model is NTSC. 230/190 core/memory for both.

Well I'm not 100% certain for AIW versions, but as far as the standard Radeon cards go, GET ATI!

non-ATI Radeons (and oem vs retail too) are clocked lower by default AND use cheaper slower RAM which also limits o/c a lot. Not only that but ATI are very thorough with quality of parts and build and result in great image quality that non-ATI cards are unlikely to have, although that diff will likely be small. If you can get a non-ATI card very cheaply then it may be worth it. As far as I am aware the TV chips used can change between the different PAL and NTSC standard used in US, Europe and the rest of the world.

I know there's a difference between retail and oem on the standard Radeons.. is it the same for the 8500DV version?
I thought that it might be the same clockspeed on all 8500DV cause of the huge price compared to the ordinary radeons?

And also I'm pretty sure that all ATi AIW works on both PAL and NTSC, plz correct me if I'm wrong.

Some or maybe all of the AIW's that are selling in Europe are actually manufactured by ATI
and there is only a new sticker on the PCB replaced with Hercules - I saw these cards
and they told me that it's like this in Europe. So as mentioned before in Europe is it possible
to buy only Hercules AIW parts that are PAL compatible.
