Ive been dealing with tech support for over 4 months and I still dont have a card, an answer to why ,where it is and im out of luck if I cant get it too work. I sent this card in 4 times the last time they didnt give me an rma number because they knew my name so much. I spoke with somebody on monday who was supposed to call me back that day. I waited till wednesday and called back and spoke to somebody by the name of mike. I went through my situatuon that I cant get this card to work no matter what. Ive tried flashing my bios on the motherboard, different motherboard drivers,4 different drivers from visiontek, reformated my hard drive and reinstalled windows, went out and bought a new motherboard and all the time my good out nividia card worked the whole time. The said my motherboard wass bad. Didnt know why when the nvidia card worked no problem but there card wouldnt. I asked for an upgraded card for my trouble because I havent had a card from them that has worked in several months. Anyway I spoke to mike yesterday who said he was going to talk to the engineers and msi and call me back. He didnt. I call today and get some monkey on the phone that says because I dont have an rma number and they only show in the computer that Ireturned the card once he will have to get with the warehouse which they did on monday and yesterday and get back to me. It wont be today because its close to the end of the day so who knows. He said it was my responsiblility to get with msi and figure out why there card doesnt work.
Which is fine with me but I thoght he was still being an asshat. So in the end I stuck when I do get a card back selling on ebay for half of what I bought it for not to mention my time the shipping fees and all the 10 charges for them to send the card back.

WOULD YOU SPEAK NICELY ABOUT ATI OR EVER PURCHASE A CARD FROM THEM. Im gonna post this on as many sites as I can register onto, I know it probably wont do anything but make me feel better and atleast change one customers mind about buying from this company.

The card is a ati x1300 pcie my system I built is

Thermaltake case
msi 500watt ps
msi k8n diamond plus
1 gig corsair value ram
lite on dv d burner

I can use my msi 6600 video card no problem but with the ati after I installed any driver i would get the intial xp ` screen and then everything would go black. Unistall the driver and windows`would use a generic vga driver every time.

MSI PSU? Didn't know MSI made PSU's. Anyhow, there shouldn't be any inherent problems between a low/mid range card like that and your hardware combination. I'm also wondering if it's your mobo. It is highly highly unlikely that they sent you 10 bad cards in a row and after the first four or five times, they are very likely to escalate your calls and make darned sure the card is working before sending it out much less 10 times. Did you even test that card in another system to see if the card works? I know you might not have spare hardware or another computer like some of us but you might have a friend nearby you can test the card with to make sure the card is working? And did you ask the person you sold the card to if it's working fine or not? If it's working fine then it has to be something in your current hardware and not the card that is causing instability.

Did you run tests to make sure it's not another piece of hardware that's at fault? PSU that is failing can cause problems. Bad RAM. And other problems. Again, is the person you sold the card to having problems or not? If not, then it's likely something that is wrong with your other hardware and not the ATI card in question.
