I changed it a little
Why did you replace the GTO2 with the GS? An unlocked GTO2 will wipe the floor with the GS

Because stock it does not beat a GS. You may or may not get a good overclock, you may or may not unlock it. GTO2 has no SM3.0 support, No FP16 HDR support and No Purevideo.
That's 5 reasons why I replaced the GTO2. Not too mention they fall in and out of stock like a GTX512.

Are you joking with us?
Where did you hear that ATi was more reliable and longer lasting? Have you been paying attention to too many ATi powerpoints?
The 648mb GPU is not a gaming card. It's actually pretty old.
nVidia doesn't make their own chips? Well, that's fair. But ATi doesn't either since niether company owns a fab. ATi DOES put together their own boards - don't mix up the terms. IMO, HIS usually has a better package than ATi, so board partners aren't exactly a bad thing.
I have some advice for you, Vinny. I do not think you're ready to build a new computer. You need to do some more research, and at the very least put a plan together and have someone on these boards pick it apart piece by piece. </really mean>
EDIT: Oops, beat me to it.
Heres a guy that gets a nice overclock with his GS getting a 3dmark05 score of nearly 6000. You also have to factor in that the 6800GS has sm 3.0 and will look a lot better in games.
