ATI CERTIFIED PSU HELP

Can anyone recommend an ATI certified PSU for under $250?

Possibly will be running 2x 4870's(GPU) at some point.

Why does it have to be ATI certified? If it is SLi certified, then it can run ATI cards in Crossfire of a comparable power draw. There is a larger selection of SLi certified PSUs anyway.

However, if you MUST have one that is ATI certified PC Power and Cooling makes a model of the Silencer 750W painted up in ATI colors with a different SKU than their SLi certified models, just for CF certification. Also the Turbo-Cool 860W. Both are capable of dual HD4870s.

Antec TPQ 850W and OCZ EliteXstream 800W are both also CF certified.

It doesn't have to be ATI, could be SLI. Thank you for the info on that. I'll post what my build is going to be. I'm just looking to find a solid PSU(ati/sli certified) to put with this rig.

I may possibly be putting 2 of the GPU's, listed below, eventually but will be running at least one.

Did anyone catch that? Earlier in the thread the OP mentioned two 4870s. But here, he's talking about the 4870X2! So two of those is like four 4870s in terms of power consumption. Changes the game a little, doesn't it?
