ATI Driver Problems

I cant get any ATI Radeon 9500 pro drivers to work. The cd that came with the video card never installs right and when i download the ones from the site they dont work either. when it restarts the computer it always makes me go back to last working settings. Any idea where i can either get a good driver or anything else to do?

Where you can get a good driver? You're kidding, right?
First thing, do you have the power connected to the board? Second, do you have your chipset drivers installed correctly?
Did you properly remove all traces of your old graphics card's drivers?

You make it sound like ATi video drivers are perfect for everyone,bottom line is some people do get driver problems, anyway back to the topic in hand ,did you`ve a Nvidia card before the ATi 9500? I would run
Driver Cleaner 1.5 to remove all old drivers(it does both ATi and Nvidia drivers) ,also try downloading a fresh set of 3.4 drivers from ATi`s website,disabling anti-virus while installing is recommended as well.

No. See. The original poster made it sound like the drivers were fundamentally flawed. Asking where you can get a "good driver" implies that the existing ones are bad. They're not inherently bad. I just corrected that. Somehow you jumped on the correction rather than the initial mistake. That's the way this forum is...

No. See. we just strongly dislike people jumping to conclusions,you know that innocent until proven guilty thing
also you seem to think that fanboyism is allowed here....please listen carefully....we buy what we want ...after all it's our money...we get mad at products and drivers that don't work "out of the box".
we vent here.in other words,as a family of computer geeks,we seek knowledge etc... before or after spending our money and getting value is great but not at the expennse of some jerk whom thinks their sh@t don't stink.i have had problems with ati drivers as i've been an ati buyer for 5 years.if you are the representitive of ati on this forum,i suggest you act like it or move on.
this attitude you share so vehemently isn't very professional.

I don't know what you're talking about.
First, he implied that there was something fundamentally wrong with the drivers by asking if there are any "good" ones out there. I let him know that there wasn't anything wrong with them and gave him suggestions on what to do to fix it. If you've got the problem with that, it's your problem alone.
better than jumping on someone needing help that's buying your product.
First of all, it's not my product. Maybe you missed the sig. Second, I gave him several suggestions. Maybe you should re-read my first post in this thread. If you find mal-intent in that...well, read the last line of my sig too.
