ATi & drivers =/

So want to get the lates drivers for Radeon 9000 Mobility (in laptop), I go to their site (I'm used to nVidia cards), and I look, and I search for anything like "download", "support", "drivers" etc. But no, can't find it, instead a 4 point font link: "find a driver" or something like that in the middle of other links, which have nothing to do with drivers, somewhere in the lower left part of the screen.

Ok, I click on that, expecting to see something like a list of mirrors lol. Instead I find a drop down menu with HUNDREDS of cards to choose from, I don't know half of them, and of course, no there isn't a "ATi Mobility Radeon 9000". All I can find is "MOBILE" wtf? No problem I choose that. Now I see a page right in front of my eyes: I see no "downoad" or "accept" or anything, just some 4 point font text. And a suggestion

"Display drivers and multimedia applications for notebooks with ATI graphics solutions are available for download from your Notebook manufacturer"

Cool!
No driver here eh?

But wait:

"For your convenience, a list of links to notebook manufacturers is available in the ATI Onboard section of our website."

Onboard doesn't really sond like Radeon 9000, but what do I know about GFX cards.
I click on that link and whre does it take me?

A shop, just where I wanted to go.
I searcg some more, but no my notebook manufacturer is not on the list.

Screw that, you're not getting your drivers. Why would I need new drivers?

ATi DRIVERS SUCK (actually ati website sucks and so does their costumer support)

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the website. They've got lots of hidden documents in there too. But I *do* like the products.

I just tried to find Mobility drivers at ATi's web site, and I agree, it's certainly not as good as it could be. I'd post over at Rage3D.com (General Radeon Discussion or Radeon Drivers and Catalyst Discussion). ATi has several employees who post there.

Since we only sell our mobility parts to OEM?s (never to end-users), the OEM?s are our customers for those drivers. If mobile users feel they would like to have CATALYST updates, the only thing I can recommend at this point is to make your notebook OEM aware of this. I would love to be able to include Mobility parts in our standard CATALYST postings.
