To reiterate though I myself never accused him of anything before he admitted it. I had no concrete proof so how could I accuse him. Even in the thread where he was asked to show the receipt (which had nothing to do with AEG), I never ACCUSED him of anything, so don't expect me to point the finger at Joker when I (and probably no one) have any proof.

Let me just start off by saying this has me pretty damn pissed. ATI had just said a few months before they would not engage in this type of activity. I guess I'll just have to hope ATI doesn't use HRC to the extent that Nvidia used AEG.

Any forum member found to be working for either side deserves to be banned on the spot. I don't really care I hate viral marketing. Not the principals that ackmed listed but the specific things listed on the AEG site though HRC might use those same tactics. AEG specifically lists them and HRC does not though the doubt it creates is minimal.

Rollo was worse than joker ever was. Period!! No fvcking way was he even close to them. Rollo advised people that the 7800gtx 512mb was a fvcking investment. What BS is that!? I mean the 7900gt came out and bam it was close to the same card but for $300. What about those people that bought that and lose $400!?!?? WTF! You can never future proof anything and anyone saying a $1400+ computer setup on graphics card an investment is pure trolling and his lies are despicable. Joker pretty much used only the facts that suited him and denied the problems but how did he ever become close to rollo?. If He didn't say this please tell me so because this was what I remembered.

Also if you look at my join date I joined pretty much a few days after/before the AEG scandal. I have looked at this forum for months before then and Rollo was always talking about getting people banned. His ego was huge and a ban in my opinion isn't even close to enough.

This isnt a prosecution, nobody was trying Rollo as a criminal, and the threat of ban is hardly commensurate with the death penalty. Likewise, if someone here admits of being an Ati shill after denying it multiple times, ppl will react the same way they reacted to Rollo. Once you admit guilt to something, people usually don't question if you really are guilty or not - that's just human nature.

Praxis , stop using the 7800 512 example. When he posted it I spoke against it, so did Wreckage, and a few others who you deemed nVidiots. Appearantly we don't "overlook" as did appopin overlook Joker's signature advertising.

if someone falsely accuse you , or me, or anyone 1000 times, anyone of us would confess. That is human nature and it is prohibited by law in USA.

if denied initially and confessed without being accused again and again and again ( as in Rollo's case), then its a valid confession. a good test is to have everyone ask Joker to confess. He won't past 1000 posts.

I think that pretty much sums up what beggerking, Wreckage, yourself and a few other want. Is just for those who were harsh about AEG to be harsh about HRC. But you can't talk about AEG or HRC because everyone is arguing about eachother and what they said (or didn't say). To me, Ackmed was extremely biased for thinking that HRC wasn't as bad as AEG. People, they are both contribute to viral marketing.....that's not good.

ATI shouldn't have gone this route, and doing so has made me doubt what is true from them. I think though that ATI also had to go that route, lets face it, Nvidia is a great "COMPANY", and it used to be where ATI wasn't as a hardball player of a "COMPANY" that Nvidia was. However, ATI sure put its balls to the wall when it came time for a product to hit. Nvidia provided a "competitive" product while also making sure it utilized outsources that would eventually give them better returns on profits, e.g. ULi...AEG...EVGA, etc. All of those in combination with utilizing a multi-GPU platform before anyone else is a big, big thumbs up for them.

For ATI, they used to seem like a company that had more of their customers satisfied with what they gave them to the point where the customers were speaking more for ATI than the advertisements. This doesn't mean that the customers were viral, but it just goes to show that they made a really kickass product. They need(ed) a company equal to EVGA, they need a company to outsource their information and help them market better. (I really haven't seen that many out of the box computers with ATI hardware in them.) AEG and HRC do viral marketing but that is not all they do. Hopefully all of this will help with the two companies advertising against eachother.

As far as pointing fingers, let that wait. AEGers and HRCers will surface in time, they will never make statements that complement the opposing product more than the product they are standing for. That would disqualify them from getting the free hardware, wouldn't it? Instead, they will either not comment or divert the attention on something else to dodge the issue. Forget about it for now, some people have to just be more mature than others. Waiting to hear something from someone you've been arguing with will not help.

Just want to remind everyone of the course of events, the AEG thing was first reported about 2 months prior to the witch hunt. The first time it was reported the thread basically hinged on you're stance on AEG/nVidia and viral marketing in general. That first thread is very similar to this one, we didn't have alot of info (just AEG's website in that case and just HRC's this time). Later on when more info surfaced (on the consumer blog) the hatred really started which led to the witch hunts. You can't really expect the outrage that existed about AEG to appear here because we don't have much info, if more info surfaces and this program is identical to AEG (which I have no doubt it is) then I'd expect the outrage, but not now.

Without senseless/tasteless/fanATIcs/possible HRC radicals such as Appopin, Joker, Ackmed, etc etc in the NV camp, I doubt there is going to be a witch hunt. Most none pro-ATI people here aren't as classless as they were.
