ok I sent the editor of the consumerist a pm. Lets see what he says. I would have emailed him but you have to use outlook and I don't want to mess with that. It never seams to work for me, my email doesn't get sent or something. Anyway I hope we can bring this to ATI's attention that we don't like this action on their part.

Some of you may not have liked or agreed with Rollo's "style", but he did have quite a lot of useful information. He knew his hardware. I'm sure even the mods were torn about banning him. I'm also pretty sure that some of you here even "miss" the debating you had with him. So, he is gone, but looks like he won't be soon forgotten.

As for there being ATI shills. Of course there will be, if not already, people in here who are part of ATI's in house/HRC programs, and rest assured, nobody from those groups would want anyone to know they are in them. Stealth is actually "needed" for the most effective viral marketing. Otherwise, they will be labled as agenda driven bias monsters.
At least this is the way I see it happening. I don't know if these people are "allowed" to come forward and state openly that they are in the programs, but how effective do you think they will be after doing so?

Rollo was asked to confess of "working" for nvidia long before the AEG thing erupted. When people found out about AEG they somehow pinpoint Rollo and pressured him to confess.

Unless they are forced to in some way we will probably never know what HRC or ATI have planned. To be honest I don't really care. A troll is a troll no matter if they are part of a marketing program or not. Apoppin makes that clear by posting misinformation in his above statements.

I remember Rollo had no problem denying his affiliation with AEG, and he even threatened to get ppl banned for accusing him of being AEG. IIRC, he actually did get someone banned for it. So it's not like he was caving in under the pressure. My theory is that he must have received orders from a "higher authority" to come clean about his AEG ties, and that's when he fessed up.

denied and retried, denied and retried. Even after the first person was banned, other people came up and asked him to confess.

all in all, I've only seem him confess once, then he kept denying it afterwards but was literally put on the stake by fanAtics.
