Show me where I can buy the X1800XT? Didn't think so.
I smell a fanboy.

a. yes we know
b. not true in the extremetech review
the only bench that the XT lost is doom 3 (all other benchies, they win in most of resolutions tested)
check out overall performance chart
Single X1800 XT Vs. X850 XT Vs 7800 GTX
1280x1024 31% faster 3% faster
1280x1024 4x8x 53% faster 15% faster
1600x1200 39% faster 3% faster
1600x1200 4x8x 56% faster 16% faster
c. personally, when i look at "KING", i consider fastest card on the market and according to the link OP posted, that x1800xt is the fastest
d. yes you can, in fact i did. and as soon as the 1800xt hits shelves, it will likely replace my GTX

why change it when at most you are going to get a 16% increase? you will not even notice 16%, if it was 50% then that would be a different story.

wow this is just great. I wonder if the poster of this thread even thinks that or just wanted to start a war... either way... what were you thinking
On a second note... ill take
1. Current avaliability
2. Evga step-up program
3. Liftime warrety covering everything
4. Evga small heatsink
5. Current sli avaliability
6. Current price
All signs point to evga 7800 gtx to me... who really cares anyway i bet you wont even be able to see the diffrence between these two cards... im still going for nvidia on this one and not even considering ati until they get some sort of step-up program.
There is no king... theres prefrence and money to performance ratio... grow up

ATI completely dominated and was "king" during the 9700/9800 days. Not that long ago, you should remember this. :light:

The one that was almsot impossible to find till it was renamed the 850XT, and still was difficult . Or the 800XTPE that performed on level with on most games with the 6800ultra. Or are you thinking of the 850XT PE that had to be harder to find then a Voodoo5 6000 that was for the longest time selling for more then 2 6800GTs that in SLI beat the 850XT. If you want the Greatest performance nothing touches the GTX in SLI as crossfire is vapor ware.
I am glad that benchmarks are the only people like you. And anyone proclaiming ATI as king with Vaporware, and paper luanches that we allways hated but could never do anything about becuase they all did it. Now that Nvidia changed that, you guys can wait another month for your card while I sit back and continue playing on my 3 month old card that may only 5% slower then the card your waiting for. Plus all reviews were with stock speed Nvidia cards, I and most other GTX owners got card running faster then defualt. Honestly we really won't know end performance till we see ATI partner manufacturers card and see if any come overclocked and what the overclocked performance is.
