True but if renamed your glass to a cup a Coke can won't fill it up to the top.

If you want to stay under $200 and arent afraid of unlocking/overclocking a video card, then the connect3d x800gto is the best card for that money. If you can spend more then step up to a 7800gt. I dont know what the native resolution of your LCD is, but even a 7800gt is not enough to play demanding games like FEAR or COD2 with full eye candy at 1600x1200 or higher resolutions, and neither is a gtx.

Sure it will.. with what fillrate?

The fillrate on a Pepsi is much faster than a coke. If thats what you were wondering.

I'm guessing it might be the FPD2185W, in which case the native resolution is 1680 x 1050. So while video card demands aren't as high as they could be with a monitor that large, I would agree with munky's recommendations. Your best bet at the moment is the 7800GT/GTX if you can afford it. Otherwise, the Connect3D X800GTO and unlock procedure would be next.

600Mhz Core 600Mhz Ram 7.2gigpix A64 x2 @t 2.4Ghz 2GB CL2.5
The only problem is i cant run HDR on DOD because X800 cards get a huge hit from it. and i'm sure 1920x1200 isnt helping!

My X800XL has no issues with HDR, it runs smooth as butter.

Well, I thank everyone for their input. I am hoping that either the day after Thanksgiving that someone will have the 7800GT at a bit of a lower price. I may be able to crank out some extra money to get teh 7800GT rather than the X800 GTO. But I will still need to get a new PSU as I only have a 300watt in mine now. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
