the price dropped from the previous $92...good deal considering it's faster than an MX

These are the so called LE models....but they can be overclocked and changed to perform just as well as a full Radeon 32 DDR card...see here:

Newegg deal earlier thread

Oh, and they adjusted my price by $10.00 for me...but I think that was more because I complained about it being an LE instead of the "advertised" OEM Radeon 32 DDR card....still looking for the refund though....hmmm?

What's the success rate for overclocking these? Is the ddr ram actually of lower quality?

I've ran mine at 190Mhz (up from 148) for a couple of days with a blower (no fan on heatsink) blowing across the card....I've lowered it to 183MHz until I can get a fan and some RAM heatsinks...then I'll push 200 again...200 worked for a short while, but locked up

Oh well...not bad for $88..

Wow, this is a steal for $88. Great card. I own one and love it, but I paid a lot more.

All video cards support LCD, as long as it has a 15 pin male connector. The digital flat panels hardly exist. The two I know that still exist are the Princton Graphics 15" and the Silicon Graphics 17" Wide Screen, but it will run you a good $3000. If you got money, you can go for the gold and get a Plasma Monitor.

Ok, so between this card and a Retail Geforce2 MX card for $89 ($99 with TV out but no dual display, its the "PowerGene" by PowerColor, available locally), which would be the best deal?

Stop being an a$$hole and just answer the question. Maybe he is not a computer god like you, KameLeon. May I get down on my knees and worship you? PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE!

To be more exact .. A LOT better... with a lot better driver support supposedly. Although... The radeon will not have TV in or out, and for a similar price you can get a Rage Fury Pro with both or at least Tv output if you are interested in those features. Radeon is far better for 3d and will be worth more and loner lasting in the future, but Fury Pro is a good solution as an All-in-Wonder substitute at much lower price.

EDIT: I dislike when people attempt to simplify features down to just 'which is better' (not meant as a slight to anyone, it just makes it hard to guage what people want in the product), but I really hate it more when people respond either rudely or without justifying their point of view. Some people are looking for a simple yes or no, but it only takes a few sentences to explain your point of view.

Radeon LE beats Geforce2MX hands down. Got one, got price adjustment in response to my complaint to Newegg that what I got wasn't what was described, and am DELIGHTED with the card.

Much, much better image quality than GF2MX (of which I have 3). Faster, too. Didn't know DVD could be so much better. I plan to get more of these as replacements for the lesser GF2MX.

And overclockability is pretty dramatic.

Make no mistake, this card knocks the underpinnings away from the GF2MX, which was a great bargain in it's day. Yesterday.

I wonder what Nvdia will do to counter this, because once people get wind of this one, Nvdia will lose low end sales big time to this card, unless they have a card of their own up their sleeves that they can play very soon. Sorry, Nvidia, but the GF2MX just doesn't cut it anymore.

You might want to give those interested the details on your price adjustment and shipping so they can follow suit if they so wish.

WarMechTU,

The Ram is DDR 6.0ns....I used Powerstrip 3.0 beta to overclock the card...running stable at 183MHz with a blower on the card...will add a fan to the heatsink in the future

Make sure when you're talking about these cards folks, that you make the distinction between Radeon 32MB DDR, Radeon 32MB DDR LE, and Radeon 32MB DDR VE. These are 3 distinct cards from what I've been heading, with distinct features and clocking. Someone posted on another thread what the details and specs on the LE and VE cards were I believe.
