I doubt it. ATi has plenty of customers in the OEM sector, mobile sector, and console sector.
Just like Nvidia. If you think ATi is a good stock purchase, you'd better be looking even harder at Nvidia. Remember, Nvidia is power Playstation 3, and PS2 outsold Xbox worldwide by a factor of about 20 to 1 last time I checked.
To be honest, Nvidia is better off giving ATi the Xbox contract.
Neither of them is going anywhere soon.
Microsoft and its Xbox is a distant No. 2 in the North American console market, behind Sony with its PlayStation2 but ahead of Nintendo and its GameCube, according to data from IDC. Olhava estimated that last year, Sony shipped about 5 million units, making up 42 percent of the market, while Microsoft shipped about 3.4 million for 28.3 percent in 2004. Nintendo shipped 2.5 million consoles for 21.2 percent of the market.
Overall, Xbox is also behind the PlayStation2, with 12.1 million currently on the market, compared with 30.8 million Sony units. GameCube logs in with 9.1 million units.

So Sony has outsold MS about 3:1 overall (in NA), but it's only about a 5:4 edge in the last year. Those aren't worldwide numbers (and I know MS got tooled pretty bad in Japan), but it's certainly competitive these days in the US market.
MS also has the advantage of launching first this round -- PS2 beat the XBox to market. MS still has their work cut out for them, but it ought to be a very lucrative contract. Keep in mind they also are providing Nintendo with the chipset for their next-gen system (although that looks like it's not launching until mid-2006 at the earliest).

ATI Fairs even better when you look at its market share numbers
In addition to the XBOX 360 ATI is also powering Nintendo's next Gen console The Revolution.

Thing is yes nVidia did do the Xbox stuff, but they got crapped on and made a bit of a loss on it as Microsoft wanted nVidia to bring its prices down on its GPU...

I don't see how you get that. ATI lost twice as much market share from last quarter to this one as Nvidia. Intel was the only gainer.

Nvidia won't ever put ATI under. The only reason Nvidia sales shot up was because of SLI, everyone had to get 2 nvidia cards to beat the one video card ATI put out that made them king of the hill. It's been like this for 3 years now.
