ATI Trade Up Program "Warm"

ATI is once again haveing a video card trade up program, that means you can trade up your old video cards and they'll send you once of thirs for a discounted price. This is a good program if you have a old card thats not worth anything. Cards that you can trade up for are:
9700 Radeon Pro
AIW 8500 Radeon 128MB
9000 Radeon pro
8500 Radeon MAC edition 64MB
7000 Radeon MAC edition 32MB PCI

the prices for the trade up are good once in a while but all the prices right now are normal.

ati trade-up for ATI RADEON 9700 PRO 399 - 50MIR + 15 S/H = 364.
neweggs price no rebate and no shipping 365

so your giveing them your old card and your fifty bucks to hold for a couple months so you can save a buck, and you wouldn't even save that after paying for the shipping to send them your old card.

got to agree with bockchow here, this is really no deal at all. i'm sure i can still get more than $50 from my radeon 8500 w/128MB on ebay!

You can trade in an old Xpert 2000 or 98. If only that made the deal AT ALL competitive w/ all that shipping cost!

Actually, it's not even really that hot. You can get a retail 9700pro for as little as $317 (see pricewatch). Even if you pay $20 S&H, that's $337 delivered and no digging for an old card, no rebate, no waiting, no hassle.

Stone cold if you ask me. Remember, what you're saving the money off of is their RETAIL price of $399!

by the time you receive a rebate back in 6-8 weeks, the price would go down anyways.

The card trade-ins are not worth it.
