Is it just me or did AT screw up on the Q4 benches? Looks like single card is better than X-Fire.... but looks like a good card.

It looks very, very excellent. If I read that Anandtech review correctly, it looks like this card for $200 makes the Geforce 7900GT completely obsolete.

I hope the X1950XT which is coming out on Friday is better than a X1900XT 512MB. The card should go for $300.

ATI has come with a flurry of punches lately trying to take back the ?video card crown? at very affordable price points. They started by introducing the Radeon X1950 XTX (the fastest single-GPU video card you can get) at only $450 MSRP. With today?s announcement ATI is poised to take the $199 pricing segment as well. The Radeon X1950 Pro performs exceptionally well for the price; it competes easily with NVIDIA?s GeForce 7900 GS providing a better experience in most games.

ATI has made a couple of noteworthy innovations today. ATI are the first to market with an 80nm GPU proving the technology is ready. ATI has also proven their Native CrossFire technology is solid and user friendly. These key technologies are a peek into what ATI has in store for us with their next generation products. If you are in the market now for an affordable video card with fast performance in today?s games the Radeon X1950 Pro video card will fit the bill nicely.

The big question is, will AMD totally cancel all this ATI innovation?

Damn this was a little underwhleming. I was hoping it was going to be more along the lines of the X1900XT in performance. It isnt even close

Oh well, still not bad for a 200 dollar card. I will still probably get one in AGP form anyways.

If there are pre-orders in England, I am sure we will see them in the States.

Wow,

that G-Cube AGP X1950 Pro is not cheap ... works out to $340 cnd dollars.

I hope they come in at more reasonable prices, on this side of the Atlantic ... yikes.

Their price on the X1650 Pro is 20% higher than in the USA. Indeed, their X1950 Pro price is right in line with the $300 list price of the VisionTek which Best Buy will reportedly be selling it at. But most telling is their $50 premium for AGP vs PCIe, so again 'twould seem we can expect more like $250 USD ($285 CAN) as a competitive price for AGP in NA.

Actually they are wrong in that aspect. The mobile 7700 series from nVIDIA are the first to the market with the 80nm GPU.

According to FS, in HQ mode, the X1950pro trails the 7900GS by 9% overall. Im sure a 7900GT is on par with this card. (But isnt the 7900GT discountinued?)
